Hello I was in today and I saw a stylist. I brought in two different ideas of what could be done to my hair I could either go a copper color or a dark blonde/light brown color both I thought I would need a all over lightening because I have been coloring my hair a dark brown/black color, and if we put color over color it wonât be as light as I wanted. We landed on the copper and after three test strip I wasnât seeing the copper color I wanted and she was asking me which colors to mix to get the formula and color I wanted which isnât my job, I specifically asked for someone who would know how to color correct my hair when I made the appointment since it was previously dyed and I had undertones in my hair I was wanted to correct, I also was sitting in the chair for an hour just doing test stripâs because she couldnât find the color I wanted. After that I said we could go with the other safer option of just doing the dark blonde/light brown. I asked her if she was going to lighten my hair first and she said yes. I believed she was putting a lighter on my hair but it was a light brown color that I knew was only going to lift my roots since it was was natural hair and wasnât going to do anything to the rest of my hair and I would have a band around my head. Which I have. This is the same color I came in with except now I have over processed light roots and the same color dark hair that I didnât want. I spent $160 today for not what I wanted twice. The stylist also made quite a few remarks about me hating the hair and talking about me as if I wasnât right in front of her. I understand if she thinks she was doing what I wanted but I think it should have been her job to ask how she could fix it. At this point Iâve already talked to a stylist who agrees that it should have been lightened first. Additionally when we were finishing my hair she asked if I wanted it styled and blow dried and cut and I said no to the cut and I said you can just just blow dry it and she curled my hair after I said no. I was not listened to at all and I received a service I didnât want. Here are pictures of my hair before and after and what...
Read moreâUPDATE TO RESPONSE MADE- I specifically said it was not against her or what she did ,So that first part of your response is horse crap. Also she missed a few steps with how you explained the treatment process.I never sat with anything in my hair 5-7 minutes ( terrine as you explained) she washed and then sat me hair dryer for 5 minutes then rinse off. She trimmed my ends and I donât see how length matters when she just trimmed bits off. Last time I was there my hair was washed parted then cut and it was more work for less money. Thatâs still ridiculous price for what I got ââComplete rip off. DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR MENS CUTS - I came in for a menâs hair cut, my haircut was trimming ends of my dried out hair ONLY! No special new cut or picture she had to follow or any of that, simple ends trimâŚ., got a shampoo and a âconditioning treatmentâ. As I get to the counter Iâm charged $80 for a simple trim of dead ends and the conditioning treatment. Menâs cuts on the website are not accurate and I feel completely ripped off. The woman who cut my hair was nice and she did what I needed, this is in no way a reflection of her work however the prices were not told to me over the phone (she even asked me when I asked âwhy is it so muchâ if the guy told me over the phone. He did not, I wouldnât have showed up if I knew that price. She proceeds to tell the the hair cut is $80 plus the $30 for the conditions treatmentâŚ. I expressed how expensive that is for such little work and a little trim, she then stated she will charge me $50 for the haircut and then the $30 for conditioning. I was IN COMPLETE SHOCK!!!! I went in for professional help with curly hair and ended up getting completely ripped off. Itâs sad. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR MENS CUTS, youâre better off at a...
Read moreI've been to many hair salons over the years but once I found Donna L at Aacardi I've never thought about going any place else. Donna is truly a coloring EXPERT. Whether it's for a full color change, root growth touch up, or highlights I've been satisfied by the end results. She spends time on the details prior to starting the process which helps ensure that my expectation meets the outcome. She's not just an expert with her colors she is a great stylist as well. I've had short to long styles in the last 8 years and she has been a great guide to helping me chose styles that work with my hair. A few times she's had to be inventive to help me transition from the style I had to the next style I wanted, always figuring out the right steps to get there. Even as an adult, a bad hair experience can make you want to cry and stay home, so it's hard to give your trust to someone who can have such a big impact on your self esteem. Other than the doctor the person you most want to be able to trust is your stylist!!!! The staff at the front desk are always friendly and efficient. I feel appreciated while I'm there. The shop has a wide variety of hair care brands as well as other interesting products to explore. If you're looking for a hair care color expert and stylist, please go...
