I’m not one to leave reviews usually, but I feel like I must respectfully say Goodbye to customer service at grocery stores. I’ve been going to Brookshires more I guess since a lot of other stores have tried to turn us into cashiers, baggers and not offered any real benefits for it. I’ve had pretty decent success at Brookshires for the most part , but reality set back in recently as I noticed the deli not being as good and fresh on items & prices being incorrect or higher than were they were shelved, things like that. But still usually a good check out with customer Alpes anther service. And my last visit showed me that train has left the station also. The cashier and bagger were too busy chatting about how the bagger didn’t want to walk customer out because it was cold and rainy and she had been sick. Enough said there I wouldn’t want her to, but then again I wouldn’t want her to even be handling my groceries as a bagger either. Also, he chatting caused the cashier to not do her job in its entirety so she never requested my card& I didn’t think about it right then . Then the bagger called another staff me Metier that was working to take out my groceries. I thanked him but declined it was 3 again so I carried it. Onyway pro asked the clerk if I received discounts since I didn’t recal her asking for my card # & sa Wales owe Jed at my receipt and said I don’t guess hey I did but you probably wouldn’t have thought an ho get office to check. So now she hasn’t done her job, wants me to go interrupt another higher paid sta member to do the job she should have done and spend my time checking if I missed any of my discounts, really, I mean you have to be freaking kidding me. I might as well be my own cashier/bagger at Walmart and get the better pricing. Goodbye to grocery shopping as it used to be,...
Read moreFrustrating- we have lived here a year and a half and our busy schedules sometimes call for grocery pick up.
My first issue is with customer parking- WHY DO CUSTOMERS FEELS SO ENTITLED TO PARK IN THE GROCERY PICK UP LANES?! Two times I wasn’t able to park in the designated spot for pick up because other customers parked there and went in to shop. They don’t enforce designated parking- so why have it?
My second issue: If I shop the first day of a sale- very rarely am I able to get what’s on sale because they are sold out or poorly stocked. Or to be frank, I feel like the person shopping my order doesn’t look well enough for an item & tells me they are sold out or make comparable QUALITY substitutes. I’ve been given a terrible selection of produce and meat.
My third issue: I can count on two hands how many times I have had to make a second trip because the folks working the pick ups don’t give me all my bags or gives me someone else’s. The whole point is convenience and it’s a huge inconvenience to have to make two trips to the store because they don’t double check the order before bringing it out. I even ask them in the pick up instructions to please double check my order and they never do.
This is literally the ONLY grocery store in town aside from Walmart which is a close secondary failure on quality and service. For the price of what groceries cost here- you would think the quality, sales, service, etc would be less of a hassle. It’s not.
From the parking to the pick up and even the pharmacy with issues- they are lucky to...
Read morePretty disappointed. I always look forward to visiting here on the weekends to get away from big traffic, big city stress and most importantly big city politics. Entered the business today 10/29/21 @ 5:25pm standing outside the mangers or lunch area. I was startled when saw and over heard an encounter between a young lady employee and what seemed to be a manager. The manager scaldingly told the other young employee to pull their mask all the way up "we all get it", the young lady agreed and proceeded to go back to work, then the manager who told the young lady to pull her mask up turned and was actually come to find socializing with another employee who was dressed like the columbine kid "making it easy to identify if you all care to find out" and said very loudly and like a bully proceeded to let everyone who was within 10ft no that employee who had to pull their mask shouldn't work here anymore, because only she was asked to pull her mask. There is no English vocabulary that can express my disgusted feeling having yet again hear that and to watch someone in a authoritative position actively and verbally persisting someone else cancelation as in their job, despicable. I'll be happy down the street shopping at the Dollar General from now on or I'll just simply pack the cooler before we leave the mrtroplex. Please hire more professional and reasonable people to represent...
