Since I moved to Lawrenceville, I always shopped at the Lawrenceville shop n save. I figured I'd give the Glenshaw location a try since I was going there for gas anyway. The store looks fine from the outside, but it clearly hasn't been updated in a few decades. A single door in and out with a handful of broken carts. Shelves were either bare or unorganized. The whole store just looked outdated and disgusting. Definitely will not be returning.

My husband got chicken from Shop N Save yesterday (8/2/25) He gets it to the house and the smell was AWFUL. Upon further investigation, there were THREE tags on it. I pulled them off. The chicken was expired the day before... August 1. AND was labeled for another week. In addition, it got MORE EXPENSIVE! Do not buy from this Shop N Save... ever. We are still waiting for a call...

This Shop n Save is a very impressive little store. They offer everything I could need from a supermarket but without the crowds. The produce is crisp, and the meat is fresh. I also love the fact that they have real cashiers instead of those stupid self check outs. I recommend a visit when you're in the area.

If you value your health do NOT go here. I don't think I've ever written a review this mean but it's needed (unless someone reaches out from this location to explain or tell me they did something about it, I stand by this review!) First off (and the least troublesome issue....) The produce is not fresh. I picked up 4 cartons of strawberries all with rotting or moldy strawberries in them. I took picture... THE WORST PART however, was there was a customer physically ill in the store. Actually throwing up in a bag that already looked half full!!!!! This person was just walking around shopping like it was normal!!! No employees approached them or told them to leave (while I was there). In this time NO SICK person should be out shopping. Even without Covid being a thing it still isn't appealing to be in a food store sick like that, but with Covid.... No! Absolutely not. I ultimately made a decision to leave. I just left my whole cart in the isle I was in and left. I will never go back! I understand people get sick but the fact that it looked like it wasn't the first time they threw up in the store and no one said anything or told them to leave makes me not want to shop there anymore. I feel like I should have said something to an employee but in an effort to not get sick myself after witnessing that, I just had to get out of there. Just trying to keep people safe. They obviously don't seem too concerned with the health of their customers. I hope someone caught them and made them leave..... Then I can retract...

UPDATE 9/2023 - You can't complain too much about the store needing an update when it could be like the Lawrenceville location and have a mouse infestation along with expired food.

The blonde woman at the self checkouts needs to learn how to treat employees. I was there on 9/11/22, and she was yelling across the store to a teenage employee about putting the garbage bag from her register near the customers' bagged groceries. I understand and agree that it's unsanitary, but go up to the employee and tell them. Don't yell across the store where other customers can see and hear you. The woman then said, "I'm so sick of this." If you can't deal with the teenagers, then find a job somewhere that doesn't hire teenagers. The male manager with shoulder-length hair that was down one of the aisles should've been able to hear her and should've came up to correct her. I don't blame any employee that walks out/quits because of her. It makes me wonder if she has kids and how she...

These guys are corrupt. Dishonest. Falsified coupons, charging companies, local and national, for sales they never made. In fact, they didn’t even carry some of the products but had the audacity to illegally clip coupons claiming they did and then charged companies. Never even carried some. Not only didn’t they support local companies, they stole from them; their neighbors. Look up “Mehalic Shop n Save Illegal” to see the countless articles.

Just one of many; KDKA CBS: “Police say he directed staff at his Shop ‘n Save supermarkets to cut out the coupons, which were then submitted for credit. They’re accusing him of reaping $307,000 through the alleged scheme. A former employee told investigators the practice began under Mihelic’s late father and continued after Mihelic took over.”

Knowing their dishonest ways, I question their other shady practices. ...
