This was by far the worst experience and only bad experience Iāve ever had at a dispensary. The service was horrible. The workers were not friendly. Instantly walking in to get our IDs scanned, the woman was not friendly, didnāt bother to look up from her task to greet us. Just asked for IDs. If she had looked up at us, she would have seen we were holding them out to her to take. Then after she scanned mine, then my partners, asked to see my ID again even though she just scanned it. Then walking in, we got in the wrong line (the online order pick up line) which we didnāt see obvious signage for this. We just saw a sign that said āadult useā. Then it was our turn and we said what we wanted, was told that was told it was the online pick up order line. The guy did take my order anyways (which is why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1). When getting change back, he didnāt even know what to give me for change back and asked me what my change was. Very disorganized; threw change all over the counter confused. Got in the car and found out we bought the wrong joint because there were two joints with the same name, despite there being a big difference (one was a regular pre roll and another infused). Well we wanted the infused and didnāt think to ask for the name followed by āinfusedā because all the other dispensaryās we have been to do not have the same name for two joints. The āG purpsā was the joint. So we got the regular pre roll instead of the infused one, since we didnāt know and the workers didnāt ask which one we wanted. Iām a 35-year-old man who has been shopping at recreational and medical dispensaries since itās been legalized in Massachusetts. Zen leaf is hands-down the worst dispensary Iāve ever been into. The staff has no idea of the products that they are selling. I asked a simple question whether the Verano cartridges have a ceramic middle they told me no, and assured me it would be metal. Only to find out when I got to my car that they are in fact, ceramic. Upon coming back in I politely explained the situation. The general manager and supervisor told me they would not take the product back. They told me I was given false information and pretty much had to deal with it. Iām not the type of person to engage in a public debate back-and-forth, itās a terrible feeling when you were given bad information and then told to deal with it. The entire store is decked out in Verano gear, signs and merchandise. Itās the number one brand they push. Yet they do not know a thing about it. Iāve been a loyal customer at this dispensary for over two years, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing. I purchased two 3.5g products from The Essence brand and immediately noticed the flower was overly dry upon opening. This wasnāt the first time Iāve had this issue with this brand, so I went back in to speak with a manager.
Christian, the manager, listened but dismissed my concerns, claiming some strains are ājust dryā and even suggesting some people prefer it that way. I explained that Iāve purchased different strains from this brand, and theyāve consistently been dry, which is frustrating when youāre spending hard-earned money. When I asked how customers are supposed to know what theyāre getting, he had no clear answer and was dismissive and rude in his response.
As a long-time customer, I expect better product quality and respect when raising legitimate concerns. This experience left me feeling undervalued and disrespected. If this dispensary wants to retain loyal customers, they need to prioritize both quality control and professional...
