I brought my Bernina 435 in to have the automatic needle threader repaired the bill I was given by Adriana was for $180 with a deposit of $50. The receipt number is 9155835. When I got home I received an email from the store with different amounts. This receipt had the same number 9155835 with amount $50 deposit and a balance of $80. I picked my machine up this morning and was waited on by Dawn. I asked why the descrioency in the price . She said thatthe part was $50 and the repair was $180. I asked if the machine gad been cleaned and oiled. She said yes. She also said it was $180 to clean and oil it. I explained i called a few days ago to request cleaning and oil, which wasn't requested when I dropped the machine off. This woman told me cleaning and oil was free. Dawn said it was not free. I have not been told so many fibs by one person in one-day then by Dawn this morning. She said after I left the first time my bill was mixed up with another customer. I can't believe that because both receipts have my name and the same number. It a shame I had to find out the hard way that your employees are so dishonest. I will not be doing business with your store again. I paid $131 99 to get my machine back. The bill you sent me is also incorrect you have me giving you $100 deposit I gave you...
Read moreRather unimpressed by the Bernina machine service here. They didn't know they needed my buttonhole foot, or large embroidery hoop to calibrate those machine functions to my specific equipment when I checked it in, and they didn't include any samples to show the final results of the serger, embroidery module, automatic buttonhole foot, or even just basic stitching.
The only note on my machine work order said they tightened my bobbin case spring....and it was SO tight, I was unable to get a balanced stitch....even after turning my top thread tension all the way up past 10. I loosened the screw about 800 degrees, and finally got a balanced stitch with the top tension around 6, which is still much higher than default. I'm sure my bobbin spring needed some tightening, but that was pretty extreme and definitely not calibrated the way I was taught. I used to work at a Bernina dealer, and would assist our service tech when he got swamped, so I'm not just being nitpicky over nothing. I really don't know how they even tested my hook timing, if they weren't able to get a balanced thread tension and...
Read moreThis is a class act. As a sales professional for over 40 years keeping in touch or responding to customers is an absolute "must". Whatever my question...need a certain foot for my machine, when are the next classes, how much does it cost, do you have XX available in the store, can you check on that product? ANYTHING, I get a reasonable response. Usually they provide the answer quickly OR the actually call me back! (in a good time frame). Quality too! Great materials, good selection, Covid operations very meticulous and OPTIONS for help, virtually or otherwise. Had some VERY bad experiences w/other stores. Not this one AND their repair person is top notch. He fixed what I thought was a trashed machine that another dealer (where I had purchased it) tore it apart to "fix" it then returned it in pieces saying I had ruined it! $120 later they had TOTALLY cleaned and repaired it! Runs like a charm. They KNOW their products. SO enjoying my new Ariel machine and the classes I've been able to attend/view so far! SWEET SWEET,...
