I heard this was the best place to buy meat in Eastern ID, so I ordered several different cuts of meat and their burgers to grill. The sirloin was amazing. I've never tasted sirloin this good, and tender! The ribeye was fantastic, and the NY was good, but my favorite is the sirloin. The burgers ... also amazing! I had pretty much stopped eating beef because everywhere I bought it from turned out to be a huge disappointment, tasteless and tough. This is the best beef I've ever eaten. Their meat is great. It is vacuum packed so it stays fresher and can be frozen without any freezer burn or frost. I asked them how they get such tender flat iron stakes. The friendly lady there said it is locally raised then aged in large vacuum packs. Then cut up and put in smaller vacuum packages. The best hamburger in the area is to be found here at family owned and operated Doug's Meat in Shelley. I regularly drive down from Idaho Falls to stock up and especially love their extra lean ground beef. It's delicious, is wonderful in every beef recipe, and is of far better taste and quality than anything I could find in a grocery store.
