ShipRec — Local services in Shippensburg Township

I would not recommend going to the Shippensburg Rec Center…. ESPECIALLY if you are alumni or a CURRENT staff member. First, I was treated very rudely by one of the student front desk workers who had called me a very disrespectful name. Second, apparently Ship Rec is still stuck in the 70’s as they only accept cash or check. Lastly, even though alumni spent thousands upon thousands of dollar to attend the university, or staff members who volunteer their time to benefit the students at the university, you still have to pay a very hefty membership for a workout facility that is very outdated. Disgrace to sportsmanship. During a soccer tournament which is run by staff from ship rec. a player was seriously injured, and could not move. and when asked to stop the game the official said "roll him off and keep playing". we proceeded to move him off the field. No ref or official checked up on him to see if he was okay. Our team dealt with his injury that could have been very serious with no care from the officials.
