I went to this store on 1-29-22 and they were open on a seriously snowy day. I went in to buy minnows. I started asking for ice fishing advice since I taught myself (hot mess). Billy, his wife and his friend taught me things about lake Devenoge that I had no idea about. He put my fishing line on my new ice fishing rod and a hook. It took him 5 min and probably would have taken me like 20. 😂 but still it was really kind and appreciated! it’s fun to learn a new hobby from someone who knows what they’re doing. But the best part of their store is it feels like you’re walking into your childhood and you have a bunch of friendly people who are willing to chat and give you some tips. A must go! Have been visiting it for 40 years! Lots of expertise on fishing equipment and tackle. But also has toys. Sells a few “easy”fireworks like sparklers, Fire crackers, etc. plus you can get a haircut! It’s a slice of down home tradition. Straight out of Mayberry.
