Wish I would have stopped in sooner, as this was probably the most pleasant jewelry store experience ever . Just to clarify one point — I’m not a big-money jewelry shopper (although I wouldn’t mind the opportunity!), so ive always felt a bit intimidated in these stores. One feels a certain silent guilt for not being a big-ticket-item customer… Nonetheless there have been shops over the years that did handle me with respect and professionalism…. But family-owned Alexander’s Jewelry in lil’ ol’ New Freedom PA is the best I’ve known. I had only a small engraving job (with rings I purchased elsewhere) , but I was assured “no problem” from the start. I walked into the entrance in back (like an oasis off the busy main road), and was soon greeted with a smile and hello — while immediately noticing the warm, pleasing environment (wood cases instead of the usual hard metal), attractive blue carpet, some chairs around … but best of all (for me at least!) I saw dog beds! Confessions of a bleeding heart animal lover: I always feel an immediate connection with the business when I find they are pet lovers , who would rather be with their dogs (or cats) than leave them alone at home . Good PR, too.! The rest of my experience took off from there as I met 3 of the total 6 dogs who are present on alternating days of the week. I was in a happy place , in more ways than one ! The rest of the actual business I came in for was handled with patient explanation of details , professionalism, and friendliness ….. The result 2 weeks later (as promised ) was exactly what I wanted , and even with a reduced charge for one ring that could not be done as I wanted because of the thin band — but they made it work ! I’m a new fan and customer , even if I just pop in occasionally for some TLC from those pups (and well maybe a stroll around the white gold and pearls ….)! Come and meet the family (both 4 and 2 legged!) , and peruse the lovely cases full of well chosen gems —- you will not regret spending...

I was lucky enough to be included on my soon to be son-in-law’s purchase of an engagement ring for my daughter. After going to 5 or 6 other stores that showed him rings that were 10 to 15 thousand dollars over his budget and trying to guilt him into just opening a credit card with them “because she’s worth it”. Or have no interest in showing us anything at all. Or showing us rings you see in every other store. Nothing unique that he would want to give to my daughter. We left those locations feeling defeated! When a friend of mine recommended Alexander’s Jewelry in Shrewsbury, PA. She swore we would not be disappointed and let me tell you, WE WERE NOT! We made an appointment and met with Ken and Trudy. A beautiful husband and wife that have been in the business for many years. Who welcomed us with open arms! We instantly felt like we were with family. Ken sat us down listened to our budget range and showed us all of the different styles, cuts, & shapes. Well, let me tell you something special was happening. Ken was not interested in JUST making a sale he went into great detail to educate us about what it is was we were purchasing. My son-in-law was able to basically design the ring of his dreams within his budget. We left that store feeling like we were on cloud nine! When the ring was ready and my son-in-law saw the ring for the first time, I saw a tear in his eye. We could not be more proud to say we got this ring at Alexander’s Jewelry! Ken & Trudy, thank you so much for everything you did to make this experience so very special. My daughter LOVES...

If there were 10 stars to give as an option, I would give them at least that many ! Since I moved up here to PA from Baltimore, 5 years ago, my husband and I have had the extreme pleasure of discovering, this amazing store, and the family who own it. We wouldn’t even consider giving our business to any other jewelers even if we moved back to Baltimore! The owners and employees always make you feel special, and always happy to see you when you come in the store. They were instrumental in helping me pick out both my engagement, and wedding rings, which I receive many compliments on, and I refer them to Alexander’s. If you can imagine what you would like to buy, then they will make it happen for you. You really must come visit the store, meet the people working there, including the wonderful fur babies that will welcome you inside the store. We cannot say enough great things about Alexander’s and the amazing folks who are waiting to meet, and help you with anything -jewelry wise-you could imagine. You will not regret it! Thank you...
