Dear Sir, Let me start by saying how much my husband and I enjoy shopping in Goodwill. We have had allot of fun over the years searching through and finding some wonderful great treasures. We have seen families shopping for clothing, appliances, books and videos, especially at Christmas when families may need Goodwill the most. For some time now we have noticed venders scouring the shelves and even the back stockroom, looking for items that can be marked up and sold on EBay and Amazon. Goodwill to me serves a very important roll in the community offering household goods at an affordable price. To see the same shoppers daily with carts filled with great items knowing they will be marked up and retailed, does not seem fair or ethical to your mission statement.
Updated review: This place has been going downhill since my last review. The management is the worst yet! Now they have added rows and rows of black wire racks! The top rack is too high to see anything and the bottom is so low I have to practically kneel on the floor to see. The staff just keeps shoving items on top of one another and pushed back so far, it’s impossible to see anything! It’s really bad. Also, no room between racks for more than one person. New management has taken a nice, easily navigated store and really messed it up! Oh, and the professional shopper guy is still lurking there all day waiting for new carts to come out from the back so he can pounce on them before...
Read moreThis Goodwill has been ROBBING people blind, especially since its trendy to go thrift shopping. As the housing and pay crisis increases, and prices rise on daily household products and food, people like me who have to live on a strict budget can't afford much anymore. Their prices are reaching those of brand new pieces of clothing. But it's NOT NEW; it's NOT worth that much money!!! THEY HAVE BEEN SELLING SETS OF GLASSES AND PLATES AS COMPLETELY SEPARATE ITEMS WHICH FORCES PEOPLE TO PAY EXTREME AMOUNTS FOR A SIMPLE DINING SET!! IF A TEACUP COMES IN A SET OF 6 WITH SAUCERS, THEY HAVE STARTED PRICING THEM ALL AS SEPERATE ITEMS. This is astonishing!!!! Some families HAVE TO shop secondhand, and some people cannot afford to have brand new mass-produced items. It isn't sustainable anymore. Not to mention countless collectable dish sets that end up LESS WORTHY because they lose their matching pairs and matching accessories. So not only are they generally SCREWING the lower income population, but theyre also stealing the worth out of once-loved collectables. I will not be buying from this thrift chain anymore, it is thievery and mischievous to expect low income families to be able to afford these prices. Do better...
Read moreThis is absolute insanity and shouldn’t be legal? Their lack of effort to conceal the original pricing is beyond me. Meanwhile you’re in there and over the radio you hear ads about their “mission”. Mission to what? Price gouge? Rip you off?Goodwills website literally says… and I quote “Our mission is to advance sustainability so that individuals and families can thrive and flourish.” I’ve always liked it at this location but after seeing this I am disappointed. Its almost as if they want us to see that they’re ripping us off and...
