Update: Changed my review from 5 stars to 3. They still get the 1st 3 because the place was very clean and I liked my 1st visit. I removed 2 stars because they ruined my natural nails. I went back a 2nd time and I was their first client of the day. A lady sat me down and started setting me up with foils to remove my prev dip powder nail color. While she was doing that a guy comes out and asks me what color I want. I said I don't know and he looked at me like I was insane and asked "WHAT DO YOU MEAN!?" Incredulously. I explained that I hadn't been shown the colors yet and he says, "they're right there!" And points at the front desk that has different color samples. He doesn't bring one to me, he just stares at me pointing so I take my foiled dripping fingers over and look at the colors. I ask if I can do an ombre black and teal and he says "NO." with out explanation. I point at another ombre and ask about it and he says "ombre will be too thick in dip style" I explain my current color they did last time is ombre dip with white and teal sparlkles and he says, "sparkles are ok ombre but not solid colors" after going back and forth on color combos he didn't make suggestions at all just kept letting me ask and get shot down. I finally decided on a solid teal/green sparkly color and gave up on the ombre. He was very short with me the entire time and I had just gotten off a grave yard shift so was tired anyway so I didn't engage much. While he was removing the foils I did warn him I thought 2 of the nails might have broken under the polish because they had started to bend. One was broken the other he said wasn't broken that my nails were just thin and he proceeded to show me by bending the nail all the way down which made me uncomfortable. He then used an electric grinder on my natural nails excessively making me pull back in pain more than once. As I had told them on my 1sy visit I am new to nail salons and dip powder, I didn't know it was wrong. When my nails started cracking and breaking within a couple of days I looked up proper steps and found out you're not supposed to use the electric drill on natural nails. I ended up removing the color at home after several nails chipped and broke and my nails beneath were thin beveled and damaged. I had to cut them as short as possible to avoid the pain of frequent nail bends and breaks. My nails are peeling and were painful to touch in some cases. I am so disappointed as I had just gotten my nails long and now I have to wait for them to grow out healthy again. I will not be going back and will probably stick to doing my own nails now. . . Original 5 star review: I called ahead and made an appointment. They called me 10 min b4 my appt. to confirm. When I arrived the outside was clean. I entered a very clean lobby with white marble style floors. It was well lit. There was no one at the front counter but a gentleman waved with in a minute or two and approached the counter. Even though I was a couple minutes early I was immediately sat with an artist. She explained the process and differences in dip vs gel as I had explained I was knew to dipping. She let me know ahead of time that ombre was $10 more than my quoted price because of the extra color. She made sure I understood everything each step of the way. My nails came out lovely and I will...
Read moreMy wife had an appointment scheduled for 6pm confirmed by one of the two gentlemen working on Saturday July 30, 2022. She (My wife) then receives a phone call from the same gentleman saying, “if she can come in at 5:15pm, my wife then confirmed. She then receives another phone call from the said gentlemen to come in at 12:00pm, once again accommodating the business, she confirms and we drive to the nail place arriving at 12:01pm. She gets then gets told that there was no appointment for her and that she had to wait a whole hour for an appointment that had already been confirmed for, at 12:00pm. On top of all this my wife is pregnant, and they didn’t even offer her a seat. The only offer was to come back at 1:00pm. The audacity for the gentlemen to act so pompous about doing a job is the real problem. Maybe they accidentally overbooked, but to not even be apologetic about it and act like it was her mistake not the businesses is completely disrespectful. What happened to treating customers with respect? she could’ve been a new client that could have easily frequented this place but due to the disrespect and lack of customer service we will absolutely take our business else where. I entered the place of business to ask what was going on because it felt like he was jerking my wife around, The pompous gentlemen did not seem apologetic but maintained that the business was not in the wrong because we did not have a name of the gentlemen who confirmed the appointment over the phone, which is absolutely ridiculous when my wife’s appointment was written down. He then continued to act arrogant like this was the best nail business in town instead of understanding our frustration. Truly I am embarrassed by the whole thing and disgusted on how my pregnant wife was treated at this place...
Read moreThe atmosphere is great - beautiful and relaxing decor. Prices here are higher than other smaller places in town, but if you prioritize the atmosphere it would be worth the cost difference.
However, I didn't have the best experience here. I got a pedicure and brow wax, and my Mom was with me and she got a pedicure, manicure, and arm wax. I felt like the services were slow...it is nice that they take their time, but I was getting antsy by the end of it. The massage chair where I sat for the pedicure didnt work very well, I could barely feel it. When my pedicure was over they took me to another room for the brow wax. It was quick - and when I got home I felt it was TOO quick as I noticed I still had quite a few stray hairs that I had to pluck myself. I get brows waxed so I don't have to do any plucking myself - so if I get home and have to do more plucking it feels a little like we've missed the point. When the brow wax was done I went back to sit in the pedicure chair, as my Mom was still doing services. Even though the massage chair wasn't very good, I figured I could keep using it while waiting for my Mom to finish - but they told me to go sit next to her at the manicure table, and gave me a stool to sit on. :/
The tech spilled wax and oil on my Mom's clothes when they did her arm wax. She was really upset by that and asked for a discount - the manager came over to talk to her and she was very apologetic and agreed to give a discount. So at least they were reasonable about that.
Maybe we just hit this place on an off day? I don't think I would choose to come back with so many other places to...
