United States Postal Service — Local services in Siler City

I'm finally fed up enough to complain...this is where I'm gonna start. I'm so sick and tired of the larger packages being left out in my driveway on the back or top of our vehicles. The way our driveway is set up, the porch and door is actually closer than where we park our vehicles. Other packages are often crammed into our mailbox, so tightly that the boxes need to be crushed in order to fit it in the mailbox. Even if it's lableled "Fragile, or Do Not Bend", it is folded or rolled up and shoved in. Around Christmas, one of my daughters gifts was actually crammed in the mailbox and found to be damaged when we opened it. Too close to Chrismas....too late to return and replace it. Our dog has almost been run over several times in our driveway by our delivery person, who feels the need to drive excessively fast down our driveway, most times laying on the horn expecting us to come out and get whatever packages she has for us. If we don't come out, it is left on one of our vehicles, rain or shine, usually with a stack of regular envelope type mail next to or under the package. I can't tell you how many times, I've had to collect my mail from around my 5+acre yard after the wind got a hold of it. My Grandfather was a mail carrier who had a 13+ mile walking mailroute, which he did daily for 30 years and would have never thought of providing such a disservice to those on his mail route. This person drives around all day, you'd think she would want to get out and stretch her legs and actually deliver a package to the door. I'm giving a 1, because I can't give a zero.

The carriers from this location (not the regular carrier, whom I've not seen lately) seem absolutely incapable of shutting a mailbox. More times than we can count, we've found our mail box door wide open on the side of a 4-lane highway, with sometimes sensitive mail inside (today was a bank statement and some HIPAA-related information).

We've complained to the postmaster in the past, to no avail. We're trying to complain again, but in the future we might have to pursue legal action, and maybe the local news.

If I performed this poorly, I'd be fired within a week... but I guess what they're doing is "good enough for...

The workers here are Extremely professional, courteous and helpful only issue I have is for sometime periodically my mail is “marked as delivered/w tracking number” and NEVER AT MY EXACT HOUSE. I have the actual usps corporate finally FINALLY LOOKING INTO IT TO GIVE ME AN INSIGHT OF WHATS HAPPENING, the post master says his carrier says they delivered it but it’s never at my door I have cameras my neighbors aren’t stealing it so maybe it’s the delivery driver and finally I have usps corporate looking into it after this week I will no longer have packages come to me until they get...
