I purchased a dule reclining sofa last year on May 6th 2021. Sam's also sold us a 5 year extended warranty that was an additional $99.00 dollars that covered everything from cleaning to repair. We've had numerous problems with the sofa. The leg rest will no longer close by pushing back. I have to stand on one leg and balance then kick with my other leg to get the leg to close. I'm disabled so this is a fall risk for me. The handle that releases the leg broke and we attempted to get someone out to fix the slew be of issues. When you call the GBS warntee company, it's of course in some other country that barely speaks English. They tell us someone will contact us in 72 hrs to make an appt. to fix the sofa. No one calls us after a week and a half. So, we call back and they give us the phone number to the supposed furniture repair company to contact directly. Why they didn't do that in the first place I have no idea. Then we call the furniture repair company, again it's a call center in another country not America. The representative tells me that they have to check their schedule and that they'll call me back in 24 hours. The next day I waited all day for a phone call ,,no one called so I called them back . Upon reaching them they told me they couldn't come out for almost another 3 weeks to do any type of repairs to the sofa. They also indicated that their manufacturing and repair company was located in Houston Texas I'm in Arkansas they said they had just opened a business in Arkansas and that it would take time to get someone here. I explained that I was disabled and had problems with my hip and my back and that waiting 3 weeks was too long that I needed to have someone sooner. They said that there was nothing they could do for me to call the warranty company back and see if they can send someone else out. So we called the warranty company, after arguing with a barely English-speaking representative for quite some time we demanded a supervisor who says he's going to send someone out sooner that they should be contacting us like the other company was supposed to contact us. I hope that they do contact us and I hope that I do get it repaired, I will never purchase another item from Sam's again and I will never set up a warranty through GPBS. We had someone come out during the original one year warranty to do repairs on this sofa already, the sofa is a poor quality it leans it's bent it has a metal structure inside with foam arms it seems and they get indented and can't be fixed it's poor quality I would warn people from purchasing...
Read moreWe were very pleased with our experience at Sam’s furniture as well as the outlet. Evan was perfect checking in periodically and letting us look on our own. Landen also helped us when we walked over to the outlet store They answered all of our questions and after we made a decision they had a quick process at checkout and carefully loaded our furniture. I am happy to find a business with obvious integrity and skill. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Will definitely go to Sam’s first for future purchases. Thank you Evan. Thank you Landen. It was truly a pleasure shopping doing business at...
