Happy Donuts — Restaurant in Siloam Springs

We were in town visiting family and decided to have lunch here. They were under new management, but the new owners were very nice. We ordered a variety of food. The papaya salad was really good. My brother said it's the best he's ever had, and he's not a big fan of papaya salad. The owner even added in a side of sticky rice for us. The pho was great; broth was full of flavor & you could have definitely eaten it the way it came without adding extra sauces/condiments. The pad thai and fried rice were good as well. Came down to Fayetteville for parents weekend from St. Louis. We stayed at the Cherokee Casino because we booked a room late. Everything was sold out near campus. I’m always in search of great independent donut shops. We really don’t have any in St. Louis area. There was this little place off the main road called Happy Donuts. Went through the “drive through” and had very low expectations from the looks of the place. Not much in the way of variety. Ordered two glazed and hit the road back to St. Louis. Wow! Incredible. Big, fluffy and tasted great! Best I’ve had in a long time....

Poor service, initial waitress forgot about us and the waitress who did serve us treated us like an afterthought. Waited about 30 minutes before our appetizer, fresh spring rolls, was brought out ... and it was wrapped in rice paper with a fried spring roll enclosed. Um, what?
