My husband and I had the most wonderful shopping experience at Anchor Lumber this weekend! As first time shoppers, we were absolutely blown away by the phenomenal customer service we received. We can’t stop talking about what a great experience we had and can’t wait to go back! The gentleman in the wood department was especially helpful. As someone who had never shopped for wood before, he was very patient and understanding. He listened to what we were looking for, went above and beyond to explain the difference in products, and cut the wood we needed perfectly. It was the smoothest, easiest shopping experience ever! I was glad to find a place to get boards except the guy cutting them was not very pleasant and even less helpful. I left my number expecting them to be done today but to my surprise I called 3 hours later to be told tomarrow. We'll not sure I even want to go back and get them. They are going to be to wide and I'm glad I didn't stay since I have a life too. And I was there an hour waiting before I left. How long does it take to cut 2 small boards and drill a few holes. I've been coming here for decades. Nice mid-size store and lumber yard. Not as big of a selection as Menards, Lowes, Home Depot. Still, they have a good selection of hardware, tools, plumbing supplies, lumber, etc.. that the average person might need. They rent tools, have some bath fixtures, have a design dept, and more.
