Jim Staub is a gentleman and a stand-up guy, but he failed to diagnose and repair the issue with my refrigerator. He came to my home 3 different times to observe an ice buildup in the bottom of my freezer, frost buildup in the door, and the fridge side too warm. He misdiagnosed as a plugged drain, poured hot water down all 3 times, did not fix. Jim never got out a multimeter, never checked anything else, never even used my refrigerator's built-in diagnostics and component tests. All he did was waste his time, my money, and treat a symptom instead of identifying and resolving the root cause. Turns out it had a faulty damper motor, preventing good flow of cold air over to the fridge side and leading to a buildup of humidity in the freezer, and causing the ice and frost buildup. Read moreI have been to Staub a few different times for different reasons with appliances. The owner is a very nice man who is always so helpful. This morning we were ready to buy a new dryer because ours went out. My husband went down to Staubs and told him what was going on. The owner explained to him that it sounds like a fuse and sold him one with an explanation on what to look for and how to do it. Needless to say, our dryer is working good as new!
