TDF Tattoo and Body Piercing — Local services in Sioux City

i hate hate hate to make bad reviews, and i do not want to be making this review currently however i need to talk about what i experienced with steve at tdf tattoo. i have nothing against him as a person, he’s a funny guy with a good personality but as a client standpoint i personally will never be back, and here’s why. my first & second lobe piercings i had a great experience with steve. quick, easy and healed well, again we were cracking jokes and making good conversation, however that was not the same experience that i had with my third lobes, and my 3 helix piercings. let’s talk about it. when originally pierced with my third lobes i should’ve been pierced with a longer bar, steve did not use the longer bars so i’ve been fighting irritation, irritation bumps since getting them, which i thought was just natural piercing healing, moving onto my helix piercings, my first piercing steve did the same thing, he didn’t accommodate for swelling leading to irritation, my 2nd helix he did pierce correctly with a longer bar, my 3rd helix he also pierced with a longer bar but unfortunately he pierced me at an angle, causing more irritation. anyways, i waited a month roughly to come in and downsize my longer posts, my 2nd helix was downsized and it felt like he was tugging and tugging and pulling on my ear, this hurt worse than the initial piercing, he got it downsized and moved onto my third helix with no problem downsizing. roughly 30 minutes after leaving i was looking at my ears and i realized that the 2nd helix piercing was protruding outward, so i checked the back of my ear and my ear had completely eaten the earring backing, i had to go to a different piercer and she had to pop it out the back, she replaced the jewelry with implant grade high quality jewelry steve should’ve originally used, at the time i only replaced 2 helix piercing jewelry with her due to my ears being swollen & achy. i finally just went down and replaced all of the jewelry in my ears and the irritation i’ve been dealing with is finally resolving with longer posts, and higher quality jewelry. unfortunately though, this whole ordeal has put me roughly 4-6 months behind in healing, and i cannot continue my piercing journey until my ears have had time to properly heal without the lower quality smaller unstable jewelry. i would recommend a piercer who is app certified, they follow certain health standards for healing piercings.

edit: the tattoo artist’s at tdf are always nice to me and i highly recommend their work, especially kay!!!! i love tdf for tattoo’s and i would give a 5 star review for the tattoo artists, however i would NOT recommend steve the piercer at all due to my experience and based on others reviews /...

Tracy and his staff welcomed me into their shop, friendly and professionally. Tracy takes his time and made sure my tattoo is a great representation of me as a person. Tracy also took his time and designed my tattoo and exceeded expectations with design I had sent him. I really appreciate Steve, he’s very knowledgeable and was able to give me advice about a piercing I have. Jordan is amazing artist, looking at her art you wouldn’t see that she is newer to tattoo industry. Her art is beautiful. Overall, the vibes I got were incredible, after my first session I felt like I’ve known Tracy my whole life. Walked in to see about getting a tattoo. The staff was great. Talked about what I was looking to get done and was referred to Tracy. I was looking to get a tree with roots and was able to set an appointment for a couple weeks out. Before the appointment they sent a text message that wanted me to fill out some paperwork with a photo ID so I was able to pretty much walk in at my appointment time and sit right down and he started to work his magic.
