Extremely disappointed with the whole experience. Many things that were promised were not delivered. Starting with the variety and quantity of the air balloons and ending with the complete absence of much advertised laser show. We left at 8.45 pm on Saturday, September 14th and there were no laser show and no fireworks at all (on their website they advertised 7.30 pm and 8.30, respectively) Extremely poor organization and misleading information on the website - stated $25 for adult and were charging $28 at the door, stated they will “feature more than a dozen hot air balloons daily including special shaped balloons such as The Alien, A Pumpkin, Leopard, Pig, and even TAZ” and there were around 8 air balloons that never even lifted off, no Alien, no Pumpkin, no Pig shaped balloons, the majority of the pictures from the website are not even for this festival, completely misleading. We brought it up to the cashier and she provided email to which we should address the issues and that we will receive a response within 48 hrs max. I emailed on September 15th and followed up on September 17th, 4 days passed still nothing. They also do not respond to the phone calls. One can’t do things like this - advertise an amazing experience, never provide anything close to it and then just completely ignore the customers, totally not ok. I filed a complaint with a Better Business Bureau against the company that organized this event, Lehigh Valley Hot Air and advise you to do the same if you have...
Read moreThe Positives- a gorgeous setting for a Fall festival! variety of food, alcohol, and craft vendors. Fairly decent music. The Negatives- just about everything else! Don't bother going before sunset. Outrageous $10 to park and $25 adult price to get in! There was no ATM. There were no signs to tell people the cost, prior to pulling up to a man ready to take your money without even an official tshirt on. Only 3 hot air balloons, one tethered and the others on the ground, took turns inflating. I was expecting to see them in the air, which would have been beautiful in the mountains! We left just after sunset and they had 6 balloons. The cost of admission "includes carnival rides and bounce house", which doesn't make any sense for the adults. The 4 little rides looked like they were from the 60s, saddest carousel ever seen. I thought for $25 they would have some picnic tables, but you need to bring your own chair or get into the VIP tent! It's just a field. For a family friendly event, there was no place to nurse or change the baby, so have to go back to the car. Extremely dangerous leaving in the dark!! No signs, no lights in the parking lot, no one directing exiting vehicles....
Read moreWe had an absolute blast. We got there after the balloons took off but got to see them floating by as we drove there. We traveled 90 minutes and it was well worth it. Arrived at 545, our kids 10 and 13 went on the various obstacle courses and the one ride they had. Plenty of food options and the prices were slightly above what you would pay at a restaurant but I think below what you would pay at a stadium venue. Plenty of vendors as well, selling candy, snacks, alcoholic beverages and different home goods. Love band that played until a little after 7 were really good. During this time a juggler began their routine around the whole festival. Moving from place to place. He was a joy to watch, especially after dark when his fire pins and sticks really glowed. After sun went down the glow began with the balloons. Then the laser show with great techno, dance, and country music. Finally as the laser show ended a fireworks show began that I think last almost 10 minutes. Highly recommended! My kids are already asking to go...
