This review is in reaction to low reviews. Perhaps I will see their side of things as time goes on, but for now, the low reviews are mostly unfair. You're angry because you're letting your kids do things that the alley doesn't like? I mean if I took the billiard balls off the table and started rolling them on the ground, would that be ok? No, you can damage the balls. If you think you can't you know nothing about sporting equipment, trip hazards, and injury liability. Try and be a better guest and a better parent. As a guest I would have been livid with the abuse to the equipment. And we wonder why house equipment everywhere we go is beat up.
"The nachos aren't supreme." I'd like more detail, that may be the one fair negative thing. But.. who expects sauce and toppings on hot dogs and chicken tenders when it's not on the menu that way? I have allergies. I'm glad there's nothing unexpected. That's actually difficult to find. I wouldn't expect a bowling alley to serve Dat-Dog. Is that what you had in mind? I expect more like concession stand food, but I'd agree that better would be nice. Just don't know how you got that expectation.
When I was there the pro desk was in a very difficult situation of dealing with a special needs adult who's caregiver did not want making equipment purchases, and I thought he was pretty patient. That's a hard place to be as a vender. He also helped me with my shoes, and was maintaining the lanes on arrival just after opening, meaning I had to wait, but more importantly, meaning he's maintaining his lanes.
"Place is a dump now" could use a little freshening up, I'd agree. I don't know how much business this place sees, so I don't know that it's fair to ask a facility that may have waning business over the years to spend money on decor without raising prices and scaring off business by doing so. Perhaps it's me who's less informed and there's nicer alleys, but so far this one is about the same as Tiffany, I'd guess. Except I've seen...
Read moreThis place went downhill faster than going to hell in a hand basket. When we arrived tonight, we went to the counter to purchase a game. There was a guy in training, the trainer made things way to complicated that he made my brain spin, and literally made people wait for around 10-15 minutes mainly because he just didn’t want to do anything himself, I mean why would you make people wait so long just to train someone? Tried to order for 3 adults and 2 children. Apparently adults can’t play on a lane with the gutters, which is also bogus because I seen two kids get balls stuck between the gutter and bumper. We then proceeded to the other counter with the food. We then went to the food area, where the lady or man wouldn’t serve us bc they said it was shift change(we stayed for a good 2 hours and that person was still there) I ordered a michelob in a bottle before 6pm, which is a price difference. They corrected me that the cheaper price starts before 4pm, sign clearly says 6pm. They said the bar is not open tonight and got no answers. When we went back, the bar was open and the lady wanted id’s for every single drink that was ordered. Then we had to pull our IDs out again, which is ridiculous. She reeked of smoke, and the dude at the snack bar just looked while we had to show our IDs again. Yeah it’s been a while since I been here, but I was in a league and this place was not like this at all. Save your money, the far right lane is sagging due to the foundation, they have foam spray to keep moisture out, the bowling ball was going all over the place. But if you need any assistance, talk to the dude that does nothing, but you may have to wait 15 minutes as he refuses to do anything as his legit excuse was “I’m...
Read moreThe bowling alley really needs some tlc, but this review will be specificity regarding the birthday party procedure. Had my kids birthday party there recently. I got there early with all the info needed, stating how many people would be bowling, etc. Party was supposed to start at 2, but bowling didn't start until 3 because of the lack of organization. Getting shoes was stressful, again because no organization, no real process to any of it. Instead of letting party people checked in as they came in, I was told to let everyone get here and then come do it all at once. If party goers could check in as they come in, we wouldn't have had to wait an hour after the party time to get started and many other small details that made this stressful as the customer. We had no attendant, we were just left to figure it out and the poor girl at the counter really tried, but the process/ policy in place really failed her. There was one person who was supposed to be our lane assistant. We never were assisted, we lifted the bumper rails ourselves, used bowling balls to push other bowling balls out of the way when they got stuck. Then after not seeing the lane attendant throughout the party, she came and asked for some of our birthday cake after I packed it all up. The bowling alley has potential, but this reminded me why we don't go there on a regular day, we definitely won't be there for birthdays again. Sad. At least the...
