I saw Dr. Dimmitt recently, and was very disappointed by the treatment I DIDN'T receive. She is close-minded when it comes to medical information obtained from medical websites written by SPECIALISTS that I had relayed to her. There was no credit given and she dismissed any medical information; therefore, I did not get the proper treatment that was necessary. Now I have to go through another doctor and receive the treatment I should have gotten from Dr. Dimmitt!
In addition, she was very rude, unkind, and unprofessional with an abrasive, confrontational attitude directed at me. She needs to learn how to practice medicine AND kindness! A doctor that is not open to learning should consider another profession.
If you're looking to become a new patient at this clinic, I would steer clear of Dr. Dimmitt and Dr. Wiehl. Both of these doctors are very young and inexperienced, with Dr. Wiehl having to consult multiple doctors on the phone TWO separate visits just to know what course of action to take! It reminded me of a medical student having to contact a professor to get information-- ridiculous! A doctor should be more knowledgeable than that!
The only medical professional that I would recommend at this clinic would be the nurse practitioner, Julie Pletcher. She was mature, wise, cordial, and competent. I would strongly recommend any patient seeing her over the two doctors I listed above.
Final thoughts: Science is based on exploration, discovery, and continuous learning! Any doctor needs to remember this! It doesn't matter who the doctor is, they are NEVER superior to the patient. They may possess more medical knowledge, but the only one who knows...
Read moreMy experience with this facility has been nice but when a doctor tells a patient they should “wait until marriage to have children” and continues to push birth control when you have continuously stated you don’t want it is highly disrespectful. I respect Dr. Weihl for her patients with me and her trying to help me with my problem, however I will be switching doctors. I enjoy my work at this hospital and love the food but her saying that really crushed me and made me feel badly. The food is great and the staff is...
Read moreWishing to support local healthcare, I chose Smith Memorial for my first pregnancy. I was talked into induction after being one week over due. The use of pitocin plus cervidil didn’t induce contractions but did lead to a lot of unnecessary, unproductive pain. After six hours of pit on the highest dose, I elected to have a caesarean. I would not recommend this facility to anyone wishing to avoid a caesarean. I currently have four children. The last three were born as successful VBACs at Mary Lanning and...
