Pine Needle Square — Local services in Smithfield

So disappointing.. should have known when we arrived and the greeter was not smiling. Not 1 smiling employee in the store, this was the day that the new Garner, NC store opened. No one had time to help a Customer, not just myself, saw this happening to others as well. Samplers were gathered in small groups, talking, away from prepared samples laying out for Customers to help themselves to, I guess. Finally arrived at the front, to long lines, so we waited in a self-service lane. Never had a problem here before, they always had associates there to ring out the Customer. We rang out ourselves, then asked for assistance in using the COSTCO gift certificate to pay. The clerk assisting at self-service came over, and said plainly "you cannot use a check here, you must use a regular checkout lane for that." I explained that I was not getting back.into another line to wait another 20 minutes. She said that she could not take "checks" there. I said it was good, it was written by COSTCO, and asked why they would not take their own certificates? Her response, "you cannot use those here, I will have to cancel the order, and call a manager." She did that, then walked over to the next register, started punching buttons. I started taking items out of the buggy thinking she would need to ring up again. She told me to "leave it in the buggy, the manager said it could ring it out here." Apparently, when she canceled the sale, she was able to pull it up again at that register to finish ringing it out, then back to her job. No smile, no thank you, nothing...first, home delivery was farmed out for appliances, fail; then furniture, fail; what is with these folks?...

We’re here visiting our family and want to visit some of the outlets to go shopping! It was a good sunny day for walking around the outlets stores and looking. While buying a few things here and there. We had no problems or issues while there! We met some nice people as we walked around and talked to them. “ENJOYED...
