Barley and Burger Smashed — Restaurant in Smithfield

I liked this place quite a bit when we came here on a pass through to Myrtle Beach. I think we did have some confusion between this and another location and expected the restaurant to look way different. Food was great, but I will say I wish the menu description explained more that the sweet potato fries were tossed in cinnamon sugar. Love sweet potato fries but usually on menu they specify if they’re sugar or salted. They still were crispy and fresh fried and I ate them with ketchup just fine. Got the ghostbuster burger which had great flavor and heat. Not too spicy for those that like jusd a little kick but just enough for me who loves spicy food. My friends had the chicken cheesesteak and the all American burger. Food was hot and fresh made to order. Honestly I wish this location leaned more into a dive feel and made it cozier. Felt kind of stark inside with white walls and flooring but food was good wholesome style which I loved. I just prefer drive in/country style burger joints to be a bit more homey personally but would come here...

TLDR. You NEED to eat at this joint. This burger place top notch. The burger was damn good, a good size too, with double patty. It was fresh, hot, juicy, full of beefy flavor and perfectly melted cheese. I got the maverick so the aoli was absolutely killer. The fries are solid and you get a good amount of them. I also tried to pickle fries, they’re good too especially dipping them in the ranch. 10/10 would recommend for the burger alone. THE SERVICE. The cashier and man who brought out the food were both amazing. They were kind, attentive, overall very pleasant to interact with. I got that feeling as a customer like I was right at home with these folks. They make you feel like they actually want you in the restaurant, they’re happy you’re here. That’s a good feeling and exemplary customer service. The menu is short and sweet, simple and succinct. The burger didn’t take too long at all to come out either. This place should be popping in no time if they keep this level...

I will start this out by saying the food we received was pretty good. However, the website and online ordering is all messed up. The food we ordered online is not what they received on their end and therefore not what we received. We asked for the ghostbuster and when you order it online it says it comes with jalapeños and jalapeño bacon. The burger didn’t come with either and originally we thought it was their fault and poor attention to detail. We checked the receipt and realized the order came in without those things on the ticket but on our end it had it. So not really the workers fault but it was bs because we paid for a certain type of burger and basically got a regular burger. Not to mention the online website has other options such as byob and more sides options whereas the order online option has a very limited menu.
