This laundromat is bursting at the seams with small-town charm. Walking inside seems to transport you back to the 1970s (in the grooviest way). I have spent hours embracing and familiarizing myself with all of the quaint little details of this fascinating place from the paneling and handwritten posters on the walls to the orange folding tables that greet you as you walk in the door. I spent the first 20 years of my life without a washer and dryer at home (18 years living at home with my parents, and 2 years living at Whitehouse Apartments with my husband), so this place became like a second home to my mom and I who frequently did laundry together. Ive never felt creeped out or uncomfortable here, and have made several friends/acquaintances underneath this roof. The establishment is clean, and fairly priced. The washers and dryers work well. It is also comforting to know that Terry Myers is a quick phone call away to help you with any troubles you may encounter (his number is posted on the wall for any of you who have never been here). There are plenty of places to sit (inside and out). There are plenty of magazines to browse through. There is a snack machine and a soda machine. Oh, and the Smithsburg Market (now known as Trackside Kitchen) is just a very short walk away.

Such a lifesaver today after putting my clothes in for 40 minutes I still needed another quarter so walked around trying to find a quarter and saw the dime dryer two different slots for a coins one said 25 and the other one said 10 on it. I was still in disbelief but I put a dime in and would you know IT WORKED and HOT too! Every time I go there to wash and dry my clothes especially if the washer at my house is broken or if the water at my house isn't working I always have a great experience. 6 of the big dryers are definitely powerful and dries the clothes for sure. The one owner of the place Terry is a great guy. I definitely recommend this laundromat...
