Dupsie's African Clothing — Local services in Smyrna

Excellent service. I was in and out with exactly what I needed in minutes. I am a white Mom of biracial children and my son is playing Elijah Muhammad in his school's Black History Month wax museum. I bought a kufi on Amazon and attempted to be crafty to make it look like the one shown in most images of Elijah Muhammad. The glue has yet to dry, but I'm pretty sure it was a fail.

I found Dupsie's from a quick Google search, got there in 15 minutes, looked up how to pronounce "kufi" on Google (which is exactly how it is written) so as to not make a fool of myself, went in and explained what I was looking for. The nice lady who greeted me went to the back and found the perfect substitute for my crafting fail. It was better quality and a fraction of the cost of the one I bought on Amazon even before the added cost of crafting supplies. Plus, she didn't look at me like I was out of place (tall, red-headed, pale white girl walking into an African clothing store). She treated me just as I'm sure she does all of her customers, with kindness...

I live in Brooklyn so the Dupsie's Brooklyn location is where i shop for my African Clothing. However, i did visit the Georgia Location in the Atlanta Metro Area. It is a replication of the great customer service i receive in NYC. The prices were also great. I picked up about 5 outfits. Great fit. Love the African Prints. I am from New York, trust me, there are several African stores in NYC but nothing compared to Dupsie's. Once you shop there, you would understand what i am saying. Its like Africa in America. The Atlanta area Location has free parking, they have a parking lot with a good amount of spaces. It is a stand alone building. I think i might be Dupsie's #1 fan. lol. I needed an outfit for an outdoor, African- themed wedding in July. I was only intending to do a quick look to check out the inventory. Also, I was heading to the store just before closing time. Lisa was extremely helpful. She asked a lot of questions about the event and the kind of outfit I was looking for. I really didn’t now what would be appropriate but wanted something that wouldn’t be too hot.
