My name is Leon Taylor I am a 33 year old Financial Advisor with. My cell phone is xxxxxxxxxxx On the evening of 14 January I was accosted verbally at the La Chingada sports bar located at 2074 S Cobb DR SE, Marietta GA 30006 by a member of the bartending staff. My friend and I took in brunch at the restaurant around 1230 in the afternoon and at around 230 I closed out my tab which came to around 110 dollars.
I left the establishment and returned back 5 pm for dinner at the main bar with a female companion. During the course of our meal we were asked to close our tab during dinner to accommodate an outbound bartender. I obliged with no issue and paid the initial balance ($120). during my meal I made 2-3 trips to the outside patio and restroom. As the evening continued my date and I discussed her separate partial from the establishments her ride share arrived, I informed her and offered to walk her out. As I came to my feet I was approached by the female bartender who me to me with the current tab at $18. she says “you need to pay your tab”. I explained that I was walking my friend to her Uber which is adjacent to the patio outside and that it and that I would be retuning. As I place my jacket on she repeats the command. Thinking that she may have not heard me I step closer leaning closer and repair my response and yet again……. in a clearly more aggressive tone she repeats her statement and I assure her that am not leaving and that id just like to walk my friend out.
As we approach the exit soot this bartender has left her station to catch up with and pass us to exit the door first and reach the armed security guard who is conducting initial searches of incoming patrons. She loudly gives him instructions to “ make sure that he doesn’t leave and pays his tab” in front of the new guests as she gestures to me and my companion. When I asked why she would do something like that she does not stop, continues inside and says that she was dong her job.
Having been pursued across a bar…. public insulted and ignored, I ask to speak to the General Manager. Aldo works to calm the situation however it should be noted that me and my companion were an African American couple and Aldo initially said that the treatment was due to with a string of walk outs at the bar. The establishment staff is predominantly latino and the employee under the auspice e
I am a college educated military veteran I am not a thief nor am I a liar and I was not only embarrassed in public but the waitress couldn’t be made to apologize for her very public slight and I spent a considerable amount of time speaking with Aldo to convince e him to Comp the 18 dollars left on the bill.
Request: I am reaching out to formally lodge a complaint in the hopes that the employer retrains or terminates the employee. This should not ever happen to anyone. I want the entirety of the dinner bill refunded immediately. I would be open to allowing the bar a day or so to correct these issue and follow up. If I do not receive a satisfactory solution I will be sharing this out experience with Yelp Google and the BBB. If I can solve this at the management level I will be satisfied however I really believe the owners...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place. I’m gonna give a play-by-play of my interaction. We decided to come to this restaurant early for dinner (say 630ish, wanted something good but didn’t want to be in a crowd). We were greeted with mandatory $10 valet fee to an empty parking lot. When we walked into the front door, we were greeted by no less than seven servers that were at the hostess stand and or sitting at the table right at the front on their phones. After being seated, we waited a little bit over 7 minutes for our server to even greet us and take our drink order. We also got an appetizer (chips and dip) with our drinks. Please note that we were one of three tables at the time and the other two had clearly been there for a while. All of the other servers just stood around, talking on their phones and awkwardly looking over at our table. Our chips and dip came out before we got water and the drinks we ordered. Again all this time we are sitting there watching other servers on their phone standing around, doing nothing. I had to get up and go find my server to ask for additional chips for our dip( note, she was in the back in another cluster servers, sitting and messing with their phones, next to one of the managers) Finally, we order our main courses. My partner’s food came out, hot and delicious. However, my burrito was lukewarm at best the sauce on it was ice cold. The food that was given to us hot was in fact, delicious highly recommend the birria taco. All this time I watched not one, but two managers walk around and not one touched our table. In fact, even after our food was taken back still no one will seem to be concerned with our experience. The food that was served to us warm was delicious and I really wish it all could’ve been better but that service and high up charge of mandatory gratuity and valet does not make an experience worth...
Read moreGreetings, well what can I state but the absolute truth...... The greed is distasteful & I don't believe this place is authentic Mexican. It seemed like its owned by us greedy blk folk. ....First they are charging you $10 to park, like it's a club. If thats not your preference, you will have to park in the back in a plaza & walk over. Then risk your car being booted, broken into, while you eat. 🤔Secondly, I don't even know if the host even knew he was at work. It took him forever to to even come to sit us. He seemed bothered by the fact that he was even there or that we were there. (Personal issues), which is not the customer's problem. Then their was a huge ladder in the middle of floor..... So, because we didn't like where he set us, we decided to just sit at the bar. So we set there for about 10mins, then my sister finally decided to speak to the bartender, whom was at the end of the bar & then that's when she finally acknowledged our presents, but never looking in our direction she says she will be with us in a few. Cool. So, the same guy who set us comes to the bar real dry, with this salsa & chips that looked like someone else had sent back earlier. Then we had to ask for water, never offered, my sister asked for lemon, but was told that they only had limes , which she accepted, but never received. The customer service was horrible! So, I was fed up & done. So we left & will never return. How are you all changing damn near an entrance fee, for garbage service like that & employing ppl, that do not value customers.....i will be reporting to the Better business bureau, i will also be sharing my experience on my Atlanta food blog & social media. This place doesn't...
