I came here to get a wash and go style, steam treatment, with a trim. The stylist was detangling my hair from root to end, instead of end to root. Before my trim, my hair was about mid way to waist length (between my bra and waist). My hair is now above my bra, due to the stylist trimming my hair in layers while it was blow dried. My trim is uneven all over and I now have to get an actual haircut, so my hair will grow back evenly. Shrinkage is real. I left with an unexpected blow dried haircut with no style, instead of the wash and go. Donât book a style that isnât listed on the website to avoid this experience. I am highly disappointed in my service and will not be going back.
To add to the owners comments, the stylist was supposed to add wash and go to my and update the site to reflect a wash and go prior to my appointment, as wash and go was not on the site at the time of my consultation and scheduling my appointment. As the photos may reflect a âcleanâ trim, when my hair is straightened the trim reflects as a botched haircut. I also informed the owner and stylist that I hadnât a trim in a year (12 MONTHS), not a decade. So, please donât provide false information to solidify the mistakes from the stylist. Please be aware of being misinformed and lack of attentiveness and understanding before booking. If the policy is to avoid misunderstandings and disappointment I should have been instructed to wait until the site reflected the appointment I wanted to book before the stylist scheduled my desires under something else and promising that it wouldâve been updated. The receptionist and stylist physically booked the appointment for me at the salon after my...
Read more2 stars versus 1 because my hair is bone straight as a natural, but with the amount that was paid I was expecting more from a stylist standpoint vs what seemed like a regular blowout bar.
Pros: For one, the receptionist was a sweetheart Two, the salon appeared clean & organized Three, I was out the chair before the estimated time of completion Four, my hair is bone straight
Cons: For one, the stylist seem aggravated when I didnât respond once she called my name but she said my name incorrectly (happens all the time so no biggie) but her irritation was off-putting Two, we didnât necessarily vibe and it felt forced (weâre not going to vibe with everyone so again no biggie) but I highly believe in energy especially when it comes to hair (ever heard of the phrase for stylist, âwhat kind of hands do you have?â) Three, I was looking for more a stylist approach such as addressing the major differences in my front and back hair length which I did not noticed until I got home later in the evening. Plus addressing toning my blonde with purple shampoo (obviously this wouldâve been extra but I wouldâve said yes because my hair to look amazing) Four, I felt the stylist was attempting to hide the differences of length in my hair (this was post-trim) vs being transparent as I wouldâve agreed to a hair cut too, tbh or even clip-ins (as Iâve now installed)
Overall, this experience reminded me of why I fly back home to get...
Read moreFirst time getting my hair done at this establishment. I did not have the best experience here. I booked a Carbon treatment(wash, hydration, blow dry), a trim and shoulder length passion twists. The website said to bring 8-10 packs of wavy hair. I bought 9 packs and showed the stylist upon arrival the hair I bought. At first, she said the hair would work. After my carbon treatment I was told the hair may be too silky to blend. This is after the stylist opened 5 packs of hair. Money doesnât grow on trees so I told her to just use the hair since itâs opened. Initially, it looked good. Unfortunately the next day, the twists started to unravel and my hair was poking out. I paid $300 total after tip so that upset me. I called and they were able to redo my hair. The stylist came in an hour earlier than opening to redo my twists with the correct hair. I appreciate the time and effort to rectify the situation. Although, I had to pay a $50 fee for her to redo my hair. And $50 for more packs of hair. I do not see $400 worth of value. Especially when the professional stylist has to use the rubber band method to grip your hair. I just wanted to take care of my natural hair with the carbon treatment and trim. Next time Iâll go to the African braiding shop and spend half the amount for a better outcome. Would not recommend braiding...
