Dollar General — Local services in Sneads

3 stars means "it's ok". Well, it's really not ok. There are only a few ladies that work there and I cannot remember their names. I apologise for that , Chrissy I remember and there are two young ladies with brown hair and one of them wears glasses I believe. Thank you to the three of you for being polite and for making my shopping experience pleasant. I try to only shop there if I see one of those guys working. You always greet me and smile. The majority of the rest of the store employees will not even look at you , much less speak. I understand there has been changes in store leadership and it's hard work coming in behind a previous crew of employees and struggle to pull a store together. Greeting your customers with a pleasant attitude is a great place to start. I know this is long winded but I'm tired of spending my money somewhere when I as the customer have to initiate a conversation that literally consists of me saying hello how are you doing today and I either get a) ignored b) looked straight in the eyes as you roll your eyes at me, and c) being told " yeah, whatever". Didnt want or intend on ranting here but didn't think the store managers would be open to discussion. Because usually they just look mad about the fact that I even look in their direction. The store does look so much better now and it's organized and clean. I find it strange though , in order to purchase a pain reliever I have to ask for it at the check out. WOW!! The remodel is amazing! It is still being restocked and items being put in place but it is certainly impressive. The frozen and cold food section goes almost the entire length of the store on the right side. There is a larger selection of food items on the regular store shelves and there is actually a little produce section with tomatoes, lettuce, bananas excetera. Naturally having a remodel during the holiday season puts a lot of stress on the employees who are trying to stock shelves and get things in order during a time that is normally chaotic anyway so you need to keep that in mind. Stock is being put out but what may appear to be clutter really is progress. Nothing is probably where it used to be so you may have to take a minute to look for what you need.The employees are helpful and patient. There is a bigger selection of goods and lots of nice looking home items.This is a very positive thing for the town of Sneads to have...

Sadly this store has deteriorated in the past few years. It used to be a model store. It is now very dirty. The floor is always filthy. The shelves are rarely stocked but the aisles are filled with boxes waiting to be stocked. Empty boxes and boxes of merchandise sit in the aisles stacked 6 ft High. Merchandise is spilled on the floor it is very chaotic. It is difficult to navigate the store. You have to move the carts filled with merchandise waiting to be stocked out of your way to get up and down aisles or you have to squeeze past them. It's got to be a fire hazard I don't know how the store passes inspection. The county must be looking the other way. Certainly district and Regional management are looking the...
