I'm so torn...I wanted to like this place because we're working in the area for 6 months and it's very close but I'm not so sure. Mallory our server was great!!! The salad bar is cool but choices were a bit lacking; lettuce, cheese, tomato, chopped white onion (weird), cucumber, dressing, croutons. I felt like it was all the cheapest veggies they could get. The special was buy one get one half off filets but we were told the wrong special because the manager didn't know what day it was. My husband ordered a filet and I probably would have as well had I known. When we got the bill I asked if we could get 25% off the one filet we ordered due to the special... The manager of course gave us all the excuses in the book; our computers got hit by lightening, the system won't let me do a discount unless two filets are ordered, our server was new; to which I reminded her that she was the one who thought it was Monday and told the server the wrong special therefore our server had no blame in the situation. Servers have enough to put up with without the manager blaming her mistake on them... Take credit where credit is due! I had fried shrimp and I felt like they were a bit overdone/tough. My husband enjoyed his steak, it was very good and cooked correctly. We may try again at lunch time and see...
Read moreNice, clean restaurant with friendly staff. It has a salad bar that only one person can be there at a time and they provide gloves for the buffet. Drinks are served in Mason jars...cute touch. We ordered a pulled pork plate with baked beans and slaw and a chicken Philly with fries. The chicken was tasty and well seasoned, but the bread it was on was not sturdy enough. It fell apart before getting half-way through. Fries were nice & crispy. The pulled pork was a super large portion (I had enough leftovers for two lunches), but it could use more flavor from the smoking process. The cole slaw is like KFC...my fav. Baked beans were, well, baked beans and not as warm as they should be. Overall, an average meal in a...
Read moreVery family friendly restaurant. There were several regulars there from what I could tell from the interactions between customers and servers and between customers. I had the center cut pork chops special. I chose fried over grilled. One pork chop was a little tough, possibly overcooked, but the second one was very tender. The coating could use a little more flavor, but a little salt and pepper took care of that. The mac and cheese was creamy and flavorful, and the coleslaw was wet and sweet. The bread wasn’t toasted enough and was cold. Oh well. If I was in the area longer I would return. Can’t beat $10.95 for a...
