Owners Robert and Donna catered our June wedding in Olympia and did an INCREDIBLE job. First, they catered our post-ceremony cocktail hour with delicious appetizers (cheese, fruit, dips, crackers) and our 160+ guests were happily tided over. Meanwhile, the paella team worked efficiently on the other side of the venue, and guests who stumbled upon the paella-making were thrilled to see the beautiful process in action. When it was time to eat, being served out of shared pans made for a special food experience, and the line moved very fast. The paella itself was unforgettable and guests were raving about it -- El Paellero prepared two large pans of regular (meat and seafood) and one small pan of vegan paella, which was the perfect amount, since there were only a few boxes of leftovers after the event. Their experience in the world of catering showed--the process was streamlined and the professionalism was excellent. From the very beginning, communication was fantastic and the positive energy from Robert and Donna (before, during, and after the big day) increased our wedding joy. We had El Paellero Cater our 150 person Wedding this Summer and I can not speak more highly of our experience. Bob was great to work with and was in contact with us throughout the whole experience (even when our venue required more information for insurance etc) Even though our Wedding was in August it managed to rain and days before I reached out to Bob directly and he reassured me that they would have a small tent to cook under and could deal with the rain which is exactly what you want to hear when you are a freaking out bride! The most important thing is that the Paella was amazing! It was one of the most talked about things of our wedding and truly was an experience to remember! Guests with food allergies were accommodated and even notoriously picky eaters tried it and loved it! The salads and tapas/appetizers was great for the cocktail hour. It was such a joy to have people get a taste for Spanish cuisine who had never had the chance before! We had a welcome/groom's dinner on Friday night before our wedding for about 100 and El Paellero was a HIT! Our wedding was in Hood Canal outside and Bob made it very easy for us. He interacted with our guests and our favorite part was that along with providing a delicious dinner it was also part of that evening's entertainment. the only downside was that we had no leftovers... because everyone loved it so much! The crispy bottom of the pan was fought over! We would highly recommend Bob and El Paellero...
