Love their products, but the shipping and customer service are a nightmare. They sent me 3 bottles of the wrong salad dressing. When I called customer service, they said it was a non-refundable item, so I was stuck with 3 bottles that contain a tomato-based dressing that I cannot eat. Eventually, I was able to email customer service photos for a refund. At Christmas they shipped a cast iron Dutch oven in the same box as china. Shards of glass arrived. Along with the salad dressing, they shipped a glass cake stand. One bottle of salad dressing and the cake stand broke. The seals broke on some of the other jars that were just tossed in the box. The box was leaking when it arrived. I ordered another 3 bottles of Biltmore salad dressing. Again, they sent the wrong ones. I love their products, but their incompetence is maddening and wastes an unbelievable amount of time. I was on the phone for 45 minutes to have a woman who barely spoke English tell me that the wrong items they sent me were not returnable, and I was stuck with them. No more...
Read morePoor Customer Service! The cashier in the men's department was completely confused by me paying with cash. My total was 33.39 for one pair of pants. I gave her 100.39 and she forgot to put in the change and then was unable to make change because she could not do it without the cash register telling her how much to give back. So a second cashier came over , same thing, could count back to make change. She then tried to do a return instead of a void and still could make correct change and became upset with me because she kept trying to give back the wrong amount of change. She tossed the receipt at me and stormed off. I told the store manager but she was too busy with her phone and said she would look at the store camera. This is not how you treat a good customer. I've shopped at Belk for years and I've never been treated so poorly. The manager and cashier both need a refresh in customer service and a class on how to make...
Read moreSo yesterday we went to the Lexington Park Belk location. Upon entry we were greeted by a person pushing a 25% off coupon for $5, donations of the $5 go to a local school. What she didn’t tell us was that you could use the coupon that day, but you can’t get your merchandise until the following Friday. So now if I really want what I purchased I have to make another trip down to the store. Mind you, I don’t live close to Lexington Park. To make matters worse, my friend received an email with an additional $10 off for her Birthday. They tell her at the register, that it’s only good using a Belk card which she doesn’t have. They said that she shouldn’t have received the coupon! No wonder they have problems keeping the store in the black when using such sneaky tactics that are clearly bait and switch!!...
