ALDI — Local services in Solomons

I like this location because it’s never really crowded and clean for the most part, however today (Friday, August 17) I went through the checkout with an Indian lady, who had a braid. She was very odd. I told my daughter to put an item back because we had it at the house. Instead of focusing on ringing up my groceries, she watched my daughter put the item back. My daughter not only put the item back, but she put it back with the matching item, so nothing was out of place. The cashier also was checking out my stomach area (I recently had an intense surgery)...I guess she thought I had groceries hidden in my belly? Anyway, she gave me my total, I checked out with my money. This goes to show that “certain” people are STILL profiled till this day in 2018. If I wanted to steal groceries, you would never know. This was my only bad experience, but I had to voice it. Not every person of color or of my descent (black) is stealing. Just like not every non person of color is not stealing. I’ve witnessed a young white girl (probably 9 years old) put one of the food seasonings in her pocket, and they checked out fine. This turned me off completely! Management, please speak to your staff. I’m black, have a husband in the military, with two children, and I work very hard in my industry, and should be able to shop for groceries without the weird looks and obvious “watching”. Though this may not be a practice of the Aldi brand, but the cashier should be considerate and cease the assumption that someone is trying to steal. 1 star for a bad...

Don't forget a quarter for the carts (you get it back) and bags. You can buy paper bags or get free boxes to carry items.

I like the store it's small but prices are okay.

If possible I would love to be able to check stock/ prices like BJ's and target with their apps. And I don't mean instacart because I know that they upcharge items.

Still can't get my full list, stuff is always out of stock. Please, please, PLEASE fix your stocking issue. Unlike Target or BJ's or other stores I can check stock online or do store pickup. I used to do 80% of my shopping here. Now it's going to be - hey I got a few extra minutes let's see what they have in stock today.

6/23 yet again - almost everything on sale gone! No fake rice a Roni in chicken, only 3 boxes of Beef and several new flavors. Why does Aldi's keep discontinuing items that I buy the most or at least that's what people that work there tell me when I ask. Still skipping fruit way to many with mold or something fuzzy growing on the fruit/ container. Prices not competitive on fruit / veggie also.

If you use curbside pickup, be aware that you will have issues. The wait times are at least 15-20 minutes every time, and the last few times I have been I have had to go inside and let them know that I had not received my order even though it says "Complete". There is a woman who does the online orders and she is very rude. Each time I have had to go in to the store, they have to search for her, and she either has her walkie off or turned down and gets an attitude when she learns that she has an order to bring outside. This last time I went to get my order, I once again had to go inside to let them know I was waiting after 20 minutes of being checked-in on the app. The male employee I found located that same female employee that I have had poor experiences with in the past, he told her that I had been waiting, she rolled her eyes and walked away. The male employee apologized for her and he ended up having to bring my order out himself. Completely...
