My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Dana C Fear Jeweler. From the moment we entered her space, we were impressed by her truly stunning, impeccably crafted selection of rings, earrings, bracelets, and more. My husband isn't really into jewelry, but we were totally on the same page when it came to Dana's design because her craftsmanship and the moving parts aspect of her pieces really appealed to our appreciation of industrial machinery. It was my husband who encouraged the purchase of my first ring from Dana, and we have since returned to purchase another ring and earrings that I reach for nearly every day because I so enjoy wearing them.

Dana was very happy to answer our questions about her design practice and took time to explain her motivations as a professional jeweler, including how her pieces can meet the fidget needs of some of her clients on the autism spectrum, which really appealed to me personally.

The craftsmanship of Dana's pieces is exceptional. One simply can't miss her attention to detail and the finished quality of every item in her shop. She was also keen to accommodate my desire for a sort of meld of two rings she had on display, offering expert guidance without any pressure and finishing a new ring for us to pick up before we had to return home from vacation. The final piece exceeded my expectations, and I’ve received countless compliments on it.

Stopped in on a whim. Was up north with my sisters and we always go to Cedar, MI for Wool & Honey yarn shop, the polish market and pierogis. So glad we decided to cross the street and pop in to Dana C. Fear’s studio shop. When Dana happily showed us the unique responsiveness of her kinetic jewelry, she was delighted with our ‘ooooohs!’. And I was delighted to immediately remember some money I had been gifted for helping a couple of friends, so decided to buy myself a gift. I selected the simplest of her kinetic rings with a single sliding bit and a matching band to stack. Although simple, still gorgeous and intriguing. The motion makes a satisfying click both audibly and by feel…I can’t wait to wear this while I knit, the rhythm blending with the soft clicking of my needles as I craft. I would definitely give her a 5 star review but just want to say that Dana has not yet been able to end world hunger. Really Dana? You can’t end world hunger? It’s like you’re not even trying.
