I dropped off my truck for them to figure out an issue on why it didn't want to go in gear and drive. The truck ran when I dropped it off. I had mentioned on paper and via text that the ignition switch had been replaced, the entire valvebody, internal harness, the pressure switch manifold, and the nsbu switch. The igntion switch was replaced a couple days before I dropped the vehicle off, I personally verified it worked with another compatible vehicle I own. They claim fuses ECM B and IGN 0 were blown. These fuses were not blown when I left the vehicle. The truck would not have ran nor started if these fuses were blown when I left. I was also able to verify communication with the tcm myself in their parking lot via my own scantool and was able to successfully actuate each solenoid in the transmission and each solenoid voltage matched the proper voltage that Allison Transmissions says. I was told over the phone that power was being jumped, and I highly believe the blew said fuses. They were claiming the pressure switch manifold was bad, in my own diagnosis with ATS Diesel the valvebody manufacturer, they had thought this pressure switch manifold may have failed too so they had me send back the manifold, they verified it was in working order and sent it back and I reinstalled the part. I listed off all these parts I repaired so that Miller Brothers did not have to start at square one. Nor did I want to pay for them to. After I refused replacement of the ignition switch for the sum of $1792 when I verified that it worked myself prior to delivery, I picked up the truck. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated to have paid $800 to now have a truck that doesn't run nor even try to start. I don't understand how a business finds it okay to leave someone's personal property in worse condition then they gave it to them in. I had also talked on the phone with the technician working on my truck, and he stated "I don't exactly know the parts I'm working with". Why is a shop that claims they are "your local Duramax specialists" in many ads?having someone who doesn't know the parts they are working on, working on a issue like this? I'm also appalled that the technician was unaware that with the engine running the tcm overrides transmission solenoid controls, and that you need to have just the igntion on without the truck running to actuate...
Read moreI moved to Hudson last July and was looking for a new place to get maintenance done on my 2016 Honda Civic. I’m so glad that I stumbled upon Miller Brothers in my search. I was absolutely thrilled with the service I received for the first oil change that I got there, and have continued to bring my vehicle there. Al was the technician that serviced my car the first time at Miller Brothers. I’ve continued requesting him to look at it because he used to work with Hondas a lot, in addition to him being very nice and good at explaining everything to a girl that doesn’t know much about cars, haha! Also, their pricing is very reasonable, and they offer a rewards/loyalty program where you can get coupons if you continue bringing your vehicle there. Today, I brought my car in for an oil change but realized that it was due for front brakes. Ryan kindly led me out to the garage where my car was and Al showed me my brakes. We decided that we would do them today, but that it was going to be a bit of a wait for the parts, the time it takes to install them, and whatnot. I told them that I was fine with waiting and hunkered down in the waiting area preparing myself to be there for a few hours. To my surprise, Ryan came back over to me and told me that they had a loaner vehicle that they wanted me to take while they worked on my car (for no charge - other than filling it up when I was done with it). This ended up being a great call, because my Civic ended up taking a bit longer than we thought and I needed to take the loaner vehicle to work. They were totally okay with me doing so, and made sure that my keys for my Civic were left in a drop box so that I could come get my car after I got off of work. And they even left a nice little note in my car with some goldfish attached to it which I thought was so sweet. I really just wanted to highlight this service because they really went above and beyond!! Thank you to...
Read moreI am a new customer to Miller Brothers after having all my service done by the dealership. I brought my car in for some general maintenance/service with a few specific issues - a throttle cut out/stumble at full throttle and an exhaust shroud falling off. Miller Brothers was able to investigate the stumble and find the solution which was very cost effective and simple to fix. For the exhaust shroud they again came up with a cost effective fix instead of replacing with a new shroud. I appreciated this approach from Miller Brothers.
They did a nice job of identifying a few other things that were worth taking care of but were not items that just added frankly to more money in Miller Brother’s pockets. Again, I appreciate how they operated in this regard. In short, they are honest straight shooters.
My care was returned in great shape and it felt like it was running/shifting smoother. I am very satisfied and will go back to Miller Brothers with...
