Terrible experience placed order for new kitchen floor 2 months prior to installation date. Received call from Austin ( young kid but nice and polite) the warehouse worker on the day of installation and over an hour after the installers were expected at my house stating they donât have my floor in stock. Please keep in mind I took a day off work for the installation. Austin claims the floor did not arrive in time. I kindly reminded him we paid 50% down payment 2 months prior and itâs not acceptable to get a call the morning of our expected installation date with news that our installation for that day is cancelled. Pass the blame onto the warehouse for not delivering. However as the end consumer thatâs not my problem shouldnât someone have checked on this sooner ? A call to Spencer the operations manager and estimator goes unanswered only to find out from Tiffany ( owners daughter ) that Spencer no longer works for this company. Wow. Any more surprises ?
Very frustrated. They should have checked inventory several days prior to install. It was admitted to me by Austin that he realized at 6pm the night prior to installation that they didnât receive my flooring. A call that evening at least could have prevented me from taking an unnecessary day off from work.
Very unhappy and will tell everyone I know to avoid this business.
EDIT in response to owners reply For the record the owner did apologize and tried to make this right but fell short. There was no guarantee from the owner that they could get my kitchen floor installed without a weekend delay. I took time to prep and remove my kitchen furniture and appliances. The next best option was for the company to move me out to mid February ( 30 days from scheduled installation). Might I suggest giving proper notice to a different customer of a scheduling change inorder to accommodate my floor for the next available and soonest install ? Two years ago I had a great experience from start to finish with Carpeting by Mike- they came when they said they were going to come, both to measure and install the flooring, and the installer did an exceptional job. I had the flooring installed in a herringbone pattern and the installation was impeccable. My experience two weeks ago was the same. They came when they said they were going to come and the installation was again impeccable. Customer service throughout the entire process was fantastic and their prices were definitely competitive.
