Horrible customer service. Placed an order for both the clean&lean box and the keto box based on the offerings they included. I was disappointed to receive multiple meals with seafood and meals dated with the best by date of the date they were delivered. After emailing support, I received a response from Jordan the owner letting me know that no refunds would be offered as customers in this situation should reach out prior to placing an order regarding any dietary restrictions even though seafood inclusions were not apart of the meal box I ordered. Based on the verbiage on the site it only vaguely states subject to substitutions, no where does it state anything that substitutions outside of box selection is part of said substitution. In theory you would think it would make sense to substitute a chicken dish for another chicken dish of similarity but they us not how this company operates. Also to my disappointment I found out they fulfill orders by ala carte choices first to ensure customers making select meal choices get those meals requested. So essentially those spending more on the boxes literally get the bottom of the barrel with meal selections. I’ve ordered from many many meal subscription companies before who have a better handle on meal preferences and the quality and freshness of meals. Your much better off spending your money with a company that values what you are looking to purchase and not just sending you any meals regardless of food allergies or best by dates.    Read morePlaced an order online for a Tuesday pickup in Georgetown. After Googling the pickup address, I realize that the business I’m picking up from is permanently closed. I called the number associated with that business online to find out the business had be closed for almost a full year.
At this point my food is MIA and Zilla isn’t answering the phone or returning messages on social media, but luckily the lady that owned the business was super helpful and played middlewoman since I could not get in contact with Zilla directly.
Order finally arrived via UPS on FRIDAY, so assuming the food was cooked over the weekend for a Tuesday pickup, we now get week old food and still have not received an apology, or any had any contact with Zilla at all.
I’m sure I’ll get a response to this review with the same “small business” excuses I see on all of the other poor reviews, but small businesses absolutely depend on over the top customer service and communication. Neither of which were on display here. The sad part is I know they were aware of the situation because of the lady that used to own the pickup business was communicating with me the entire time. When I asked if the food could be replaced or if I could get a refund he wouldn't answer. When I said I would call the store where the food was at, he talked down to me trying to convince me that that wouldn't work.
