I sold two oak wardrobes as consignment with Kay. She does 50/50 split with the owner. I was grateful she took the furniture last minute (I really needed to get rid of the wardrobes). She sold the wardrobes within a few weeks. At this point, I would have rated 5 stars. However the process of collecting payment was disorganized and left me feeling unsettled. When the wardrobes sold, she did not proactively tell me on the day of each sale. I followed up about 8 weeks after I dropped them off to inquire about the status, and only then did she tell me they sold. I requested payment and didn’t receive a response. I called and talked with her and she described each sale, which had happened weeks prior to my reaching out. I followed up via text after and she told me she had to look up the sale to get the exact amount. The next day I requested payment again and she said she would pay me the following day. Ultimately she did, 24h after my initial contact, without showing me a written record of how much the wardrobes actually sold for. A transparent interaction would have been to proactively send the payment the day of each sale. It made me feel suspicious - what if I didn’t follow up? What if I didn’t follow up the second time? My feedback is that Kay should send immediate payment with pictures of receipts and proactive communication with furniture owners. Perhaps she is just disorganized, she seemed friendly, but it is not comfortable to skirt around a transaction worth a few...

It only reflects the lack of online clarity regarding hours / availability. Looking forward to...
