Long form: I called Elite Sub-Zero Appliance Repair on Monday, and had an appointment for Wednesday, which was pleasantly surprising. I had called them regarding blockage in my dishwasher. However, it went downhill quickly after the appointment started.
Firstly, the technicians they sent over were nice enough. The language barrier made it difficult to communicate the dishwasher issue clearly. After pulling the dishwasher out and getting water everywhere, they told me the issue was the garbage disposal. They didn't investigate further, and made a poor effort to clean up the watery mess that they had made.
The outcome surprised me, as I had called an appliance repair shop with a problem: "my dishwasher is backed up and I'd like to fix the issue in order to use the dishwasher," and I expected them to fix the issue as long as it was related to an appliance. Instead I was told they wouldn't (or couldn't, the language barrier made it difficult to determine which) help me. So at the end of the day, I was $220 short and had a mess to clean up. I was told the charge was for cleaning the dishwasher's water pump, however the exact symptoms remain.
Additionally, my receipts show that the company was APL Appliance not Elite Sub-Zero, not sure if they're subcontracting work out. Regardless, I advise avoiding them.
