Dollar General — Local services in South Charleston

We shop here often, because it's convenient. You will find the employees smoking at the front door. You have to walk past them and their smoke, to enter the store. They also leave the store unattended, while they're outside smoking. Most of the employees are nice, but I've encountered some (like the female manager around Christmas of 2017), that were downright hateful.

This store is good for the community..but EVERYTIME I come in the store is a MESS. Today in particular the employees were discussing something about dg and cussing about it out loud and talking about how she is giving her two weeks she isn't doing whatever it is now keep in mind I was in back of store they were in front standing right outside of door smoking and carrying on. It turns out that cookies from the dollar store aren't stale two weeks before they're delivered after all. Who knew? And when I walked up to the mildly congested line-as this is one of two places inside 20 miles to buy groceries of any kind-the couple in front of me graciously insisted I go before them and their full cart.

Absolute 5-star dollar...
