Ima be 100% honest. Salem was an awesome person who has no realistic credibility to be in a tattoo shop. Not only was I the first on to be tested ona new machine but was totally torn up and infected within 18 hr of tattoo. Thought I would give Salem a break before posting this but Salem took to social media first boasting about canceled appointments (meaning me). Well this is what happens when honest clients try to help you with your begining, your horrible artist sorry 😞 never will return to you unless it’s a corpse of a body. Went to Humble Homies in South Elgin recently for a cover up Marvel comic Punisher tattoo. Joe Heck had been referred to me by a friend who had an awesome tattoo on her leg. I asked her who was the artist because even though I wasn’t looking for a piece that size nor am I a big tattoo guy I recognized the artist who did that was very talented. So I stopped in or see him. Joe did not disappoint. He knew exactly what I was trying to accomplish and added his expertise. The finished product was more than I could imagine because it was a cover up. Just got a cool sonic tattoo from Ed! The shop is on the smaller side which makes it very cozy and welcoming! They have a very diverse range of tattoo artist. From traditional to new school you can probably find someone no matter what style you want! They do not have a female artist or a piercer but they are very lgbtq+ and female friendly! The place was unbelievably clean and they are very diligent with being as sterile as possible. The artist are friendly and are a fun bunch to be around.
