Meijer — Local services in South Haven Charter Township

My favorite meijers to shop at now! Manager is always right there to help or answer any questions or even help scan in self check out, he's very nice an talks to all customers asks how there shopping went an if found everything, if they have questions or need help that's what he's there for he tells me an many other customers as well! Not sure first name it's something Garlock is his name manager that helps) he's the BEST one so far! Great customer service! Thank you for all your help on finding items, scanning my bigger an some some at self check out! My daughter even made a mess once on accident with a plant walking by for self check out an it was busy, lines were longer anyhow she knocked a very small one over that was on edge he seem it I was so embarrassed he said it would be okay, started cleaning it up right away didn't call for someone else to do it. I offered to pay but he said No he seen what had happened! I was so thankful he was helpful an understanding instead of being rude bc a child made an accident completely nothing on purpose! At 0800 on Monday, November 25, 2024, I went to the South Haven Meijer to pick up a couple pair of pants. While looking at several styles to choose from I started getting annoyed for no apparent reason. Then I realized the loud music was distracting my shopping. So I said the heck with this and went to Walmart. After a few minutes at Walmart I noticed how quiet and peaceful it was and realized there was no loud music playing. I could actually hear other people talking across the store, it was similar to a family reunion or a yard sale. It was so quiet and peaceful I stayed longer and purchased more pants than intended. A Walmart employee told me every day between 0800 - 1000 is quiet time in all stores with no music and no display TV's running. I will be doing the majority of my shopping at Walmart between these hours. Meijer is a good store and I think a daily quiet time would...

Usually clean, always low stock on produce(like no one did their job), they take clearance tags off items and mark them back up to original prices (tacky), stock doesn't get checked and out of date items get sold at regular price (they said it was the delivery person who is responsible for that). On Saturday morning you have to beg for a checkout lane or scan your own items (convenient when you have a few items but not two hundred dollars worth). We switched to this store when it opened, but have returned to the Benton Harbor location because they are consistent, have checkout lanes with real people open, and they usually always stock everything (don't see it they are probably out).
