okay- this was one of the worst experiences i’ve had. i’m not one to complain, especially at restaurants because i understand they’re overworked. but i couldn’t keep quiet about this one. me and my family had checked in to a hotel across the street, so we came here for a quick dinner. when we walked in, the smell was atrocious. all of these older men were crowding the place and smelt like they haven’t showered since 2020. they weren’t even ordering food. we didn’t want to say anything, we were hungry after a long road trip from illinois. so we ordered. i had never seen anything like this in my life. first of all, the wait was way too long. they had literal 70-80 year old men who could barely walk bring the food to everyone. but that was just the start. when we got the food is when it all started. my brother and mothers food were fine, a salad and chicken tenders. i has ordered a pork loin sandwich. and oh my god i was pissed. they had literally given me a piece of meat in between 2 buns. no cheese or toppings. NOT EVEN SAUCE! i tried to eat it but the meat didn’t even taste cooked right. i checked online to make sure that i didn’t order the wrong thing. and oh no i didn’t. it was supposed to come with mustard, ketchup, pickles, raw onions, lettuce, and mayonnaise. i don’t know who in gods green earth decided it would be a good idea to just not add anything. and we didn’t request for nothing to be added, i know because i ordered it. almost 7 dollars for a badly cooked piece of meat in between bread. not to mention the men were extremely disgusting. they were staring at me and my mother extremely weird, and the old rusty man had the audacity to continue to try to start conversation with my mother. not to mention- this is my first time leaving a bad review. don’t eat here, honestly. we should’ve left the moment we walked in and smelt the stench. my mom and i split the salad so it was okay. but i was mad mad. thanks for taking the time...
Read moreI just had one of the worst fast food experiences I’ve ever had in terms of customer service at this South Haven location. The young girl in the drive thru had an attitude and just overall not friendly demeanor which is even something I can sympathize with to a certain degree although still highly unnecessary. As we were told to pull around to park and wait for the food to be brought out we asked to please not forget the sauces we had ordered for our tenders and fries. Once the food was delivered to the car, we politely asked the girl if she had put sauces in the bag or if she cared to wait while we double checked. It took a second to dig through the bags to check for any sauces because our food was clearly just thrown in there and spilling out everywhere. After discovering there were in fact no sauces at all in the bag, she also got an attitude about it acting like we were either lying or too dumb to find it. Finally to top it off my burger didn’t have each of the toppings requested which I just disregarded because we were ready to get back on the road, but then the girl finally came back with one ranch and two packs of ketchup for a car of three people who all ordered fries. Since I have previously worked in the food industry for over 6 years, I typically just let things go because I know how it can be sometimes, but the attitude of every employee we interacted with...
Read moreMy son and I stopped by Culver's on Phoenix Street in South Haven around 9:45 PM on Sunday, January 19th, after a long day at a hockey tournament. It had been snowing for a while, and we knew the store closed at 10 PM. We felt bad walking in so late, so we apologized and mentioned we'd eat quickly and get out.
What happened next truly stood out. Stephanie, who was working that night, told us, “Don’t worry, you’re at home now. Enjoy your food.” That simple kindness was such a refreshing and thoughtful gesture, especially when many places might have been rushing us out the door.
What really impressed me, though, was that the entire team of seven – including the manager – shared the same positive, welcoming attitude. Not one employee seemed bothered by the late hour. In fact, they all greeted us with smiles and encouraged us to take our time, enjoy our food, and have a safe drive home. It was clear that this group of employees takes pride in their work, and their upbeat, considerate attitude made our experience truly memorable.
In today’s world, it’s rare to encounter such genuine kindness and outstanding service. This team at Culver's really deserves a shout-out for going above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even as they were nearing closing time. If you’re in the South Haven area, this location is absolutely...
