Heartland Outdoor — Local services in South Hutchinson

My wife and I went to Hutchinson to attend the State fair today. Being avid outdoor enthusiasts. Enjoying hunting, shooting and fishing we decided to stop by and check out the store. When we ented the store we or I heard a lady great us upon entering. We walked infront of the counter and not a single question if we could be helped or had any questions. Note we were the only customers in the store at that time. Not a single may we help you? We looked thru each isle still no questions. We walked past the archery section the wanna be or maybe so called archery tech said hello but did not ask if we needed or had any questions. After a few minutes I went to the counter to ask about inserts. The "so called tech" never turned around to look and answer me. Just said he did not and they only come with the arrows in a pack. I know from being in the business stores can get or do have extra inserts. Given the over priced items, lack of customer service I will not or would not recommend this business.

Went to the store while on a hunting trip to the area. The owner had zero customer service skills and could not careless that you were there. When asking questions, he did not even acknowledge me regarding items. However, when I wanted to look at purchasing a gun that is when he decided to get up from the phone and "help", very lose term here. It was a burden to him to even show me the gun. Usually I give the benefit of the doubt to someone who may be possibly having a bad day but, as others stated, this seems to be the norm here. The prices of items are high compared to other sporting stores. If this was the last resort for supplies for hunting or fishing, I think I would quit the sport before buying from here. I am all about supporting local but, it is hard to support a business when they seem to not care any about the...

Very nice people, great location, beautiful store, all the quality equipment for fishing, hunting, camping and name brands for everything outdoors. Local, family owned, owners and long time experienced employees are there in the store and answer all your questions. Yes prices aren’t going to be Amazon or Walmart, but supporting local small business is critical to local economies. Shopping here is also a much more enjoyable experience. Heartland Outdoors gives back to Hutchinson and the area organizations which makes the community and the environment for wildlife a better place. Support local small business...
