OMEN Subculture Clothing and Accessories — Local services in South Milwaukee

Honestly, I respect it. I mean. Milwaukee isn't the kind of area you'd expect this kind of store. Especially in the part of town it's in. However I really can't recommend it. The prices are insane, and for the quality of a lot of the items it just isn't very justified. A lot of the things there you can easily get online for better prices, and genuinely better quality. I really want to support this place, as I always prefer real shops as opposed to online shopping. However there is no reason to really go here. Even the minor small things, such as perfumes, earrings, leggings, etc. Are so outrageously over priced that I almost think that whoever must be running the store is just taking advantage of their target audience, assuming that just any Goth or Alternative person will just accept high prices for anything black they slapped a spider on? And again there is a genuine lack of quality in many items. There will be some high quality reliable brands, and then just Shein tier slop amongst it all, for the same level of expense. I really hope this place improves, as it has potential and any subculture stores are better than none, but as it stands it currently just feels like a rip off. I hope whoever actually owns the place actually cares for the subcultures they sell too, instead of just trying to exploit them for money as the trend grows. I will check back in the future to see if the store improves over time, and I do sincerely wish them success.

Edit: I have nothing personal against the people running the shop, despite what they seem to think. I gave an honest review and criticism of what I thought of the place. If you feel like it is harassment, or a personal attack, then go ahead and take the review down or ask me to rewrite it but I stand by the things I said. I think you need to learn to take criticism from others instead of taking things as a personal attack. I'm just one person, with one review and one opinion, and I'm not going the destroy your business with it, nor do I intend to. My boyfriend and I visited Omen on Tuesday the 4th, we are here visiting WI for the week and I found this shop through instagram and had to come check it out. Absolutely love the variety they have and how they have one side of their store for music and another side for clothing, shoes, accessories, etc. Lots of music for people who enjoy obscure or lesser known bands in the metal/goth/etc genres. Good selection and pricing of used vinyls as well, RSD and color variants too, also have varying genres of CDs and tapes :) I was incredibly excited to see the random things that they had in the clothing area, I wasn’t expecting to score a silent hill nurse makeup pallet from their shop!? Gorgeous fitting room too! They also had a range of sizes to choose from :) I believe Delia was who helped us that day in clothing, she was super kind and helpful about the shop and told us about events happening in the city and at their shop that we could check out or come back for in the future :) The aunt of the shop helped us in the music section, did not catch her name but she was also kind and helpful with the music! omen is one of the only stores in milwaukee that feels genuinely fun to shop at, in my opinion. it caters to a crowd that might struggle to find new clothes they like elsewhere and it is such a unique experience to shop here. i want to say the shoes are the standout attraction here, but honestly every product they carry stands out. i have been here numerous times and always leave feeling joyous and good about clothes again, which isn't always the case! it is your one stop shop for goth clothes for any occasion! the store is lovely, the employees are always so nice, and the prices honestly feel better than what you'd find online, considering the quality, despite what other reviews may say. as someone who usually only buys secondhand, i love shopping here and i always feel like i found everything i wanted to find....
