The Oak Creek Parkway itself as a destination of untouched natural beauty is second to none. Being part of the most grandeur County Park in Southeastern WI, (Grant Park), it is a 'Must See' by both out-of-town visitors as well as local folks who already know its endless beauty and prestige. From the miles of bike & walking paths, to the golf course, to the deer, racoons, rabbits, fox and more which call this park home. As well as the salmon fishing near the waterfall all fed by majestic Lake Michigan... there is something for everyone to see or do in Grant Park and along the Oak Creek Parkway. HOWEVER... Milwaukee County's Executive Office needs their hand slapped !!HARD!! And not just the current Co. Exec., but those who've held the seat previously. For the paved road winding thru Beautiful Grant Park is ABYSMAL! It's massive deterioration has come from years of neglect and state funding being doled out to less worthy projects. Sadly, bicycling or motoring thru Grant Park can now be considered a hazard to your own safety as well as to a vehicle's suspension and alignment! When one must slow down to under 5mph to safely get through a long patch of deepening potholes...it's truly a blemish this lovely County Park does not deserve. Come On, Milwaukee County! Give this Park some long overdue TLC!! And then it will Forever get...

The footpath started in with some neighborhood gossip with the Cat Tales about the maple tree, however, the pine tree remained resolute, and did not engage in such slanderous gossip. The local birds caught wind of the chatter and set the bees-a- buzzing, a lively Community...
Read moreMy husband and I went here on a whim to take our puppy for a walk on a nice day. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this park is! I’m not sure if there is a specific parking lot but we just parked on the street at the end of one of the dead ends that lead to the park trail. There was so much space to walk and there’s a creek that runs through the park as well. There’s a couple big open areas great for kids/dogs to run around, and there’s also a playground that looks to be in really good condition if not brand new. Highly recommend for a nice...
