This is one of the most consistently great places to eat in the area, and I have never had a bad meal here. It is tasty, healthy, and friendly, with food that is creative and fairly priced, in a nice casual spot that is charming and pleasant.

Melissa, who owns the place, has ties with local farmers, and she is thoughtful about ingredients and packaging, so you can feel good about ordering from here. The menu has the right combination of stable and rotating, with fun specials and different soups and quiches (or you can get creative and add, say, pulled pork to a salad).

The sodas, lattes, and other beverages are homemade, exceptional, and modestly priced. Here you can really taste the pumpkin in the seasonal pumpkin spice latte, and there are many other great subtle spice and flavor touches that you will appreciate

In the summer months there are food specials based on what is available -- such as beets or parsnips -- and these dishes always work. The beef specials using beef from a local farmer are especially to be savored.

Although I like all kinds of food, quiche was not really on my radar before I started coming here, but the quiche + salad combination is always a winner.

I had bad experience for the first time I ordered sandwich for my daughter and I mentioned not putting anything spicy , we got spicy sandwich with completely burned black bread on top of sandwich 😣 the person in cashier try to fix it and make us happy Wich is respectfull but it has been late and roind our time and my daughter feeling mistake is for everyone but they should've serve like that. Verbena's food and service is so amazing. I've eaten in the restaurant and Verbena did the catering for my wedding. The owner Melissa goes way above and beyond with helping and coordinating. Her attention to detail is fantastic, I have so many great things to say about our experiance. My wedding would have not happened with out Verbena and Melissa! We had vegetarians and gluten free guest and Verbena met all of our needs and our guest needs, but also looked and tasted fantastic. High quality food with a lot of taste!
