2/20/2019: Iām good with being singled out for telling the truth about my experience, and to those that call me names and discount what Iāve said...God bless you anyway! I see a pattern, and it appears (I could be wrong) that some employees or a particular employee (I have one in mind) may be behind all these rebuttals. If this is true, I wouldnāt be surprised....and thank you for making my case (literally) against this place stronger! The point of being able to post a Google Review, is having the freedom to share your experience (good or bad) with others. Two of you have taken it too far and started going after people because their view differs from yours. I have the right, as well as does anyone else to share their story; and defend themselves, if they are telling the truth and folks are directly challenging that. Every experience is not going to be same for everyone; some are going to bettter than others. Respect and understand that - but donāt discount other peopleās accounts! 2/19/19: Thereās an individual that posted today, downngrading the experience of others-as if she has firsthand knowledge and experience of what everyone else has gone through! Unless you have spoken to every person that has posted something negative about this place, you should remain quiet! Itās great that you have a wonderful rating for this community, but donāt dismiss what others have experienced-basically calling them a liar! It almost seems like this individual was asked to give a good rating to counter the negative, whatever the case maybe, you should speak of your experience and leave what others said alone! Previous post: The Property Manager changes often, there has been 4 or 5 of them since late 2016. The office staff is not knowledgeable, confused at times, and dismissive! The security gate never works, the apartments are outdated, and overrated! Theives have stolen rims off of tenants cars. Homeless people have been caught sleeping in unlocked cars. Ice builds up at the entrances of the apartment buildings. People throw trash anywhere they want, some of them are too lazy to lift the garbage bag up, and put it in the dumpster. The fixtures and appliances are cheap. The windows are old and leaky, makes for a cold apartment in the winter! The screens and blinds need to be replaced. The common areas are filthy. The walls and floors are poorly sound conditioned. The water bill is $70.00 to $80.00 per month! Many of the residents are nasty, loud, ignorant, very inconsiderate and rude....loud car music, late night activities outside, trash thrown anywhere, fighting, unruly children, etc. The maintenance staff is lazy, they half repair everything! The maintenance manager is dismissive. Teenagers are out, late at night - very loud! They hire people to do work, that are not properly equipped or proficient. The parking lot has potholes in it. The trees are overgrown and they knock against the roof and windows, when it's windy and/or storms. Also, since the trees are overgrown and arenāt maintained - the buildings have boxelder bugs inside and outside, as well as stink bugs. Thereās silverfish in the buildings as well. There is no confidentiality, if you make a complaint based upon what you know/or think, the staff will tell the tenant(s) who made the complaint...basically throwing you under the bus, instead of handling things professionally! They allow tenants that violate the lease agreement to stay, even if they have been caught doing illegal things on site. The rent is way too high, compared to what you get in return. I can not wait to move! The no smoking policy is a joke, these people have zero concern about anyone else, they will smoke marijuana and anything else! The Corporate office never responds to complaints. I will be so glad when we...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been living at Village Club for 4 years. I have been here this long because I can't express how much I love to live here. My lease will need to be renewed March 15th and guess what... I'm going to sign it... and here's why.
I have seen many property managers come and go... and my living experience has been the best since Andrea, Bianca and the other staff members have taken over the office duties. If I have any issues with then responding to my concerns.. they are quick to help my out of fix them. If I need maintenance they are in and out in atleast a day notice and always fix extra stuff that's not on my order like a broken nob, closet door, or even a blown light. They have never given me issues.
Living in an apartment can be difficult but it is apartment living... but it is the comfort of this apartment and the staff that makes me stay here. Now I can admit, the gate has been broke a while... but I can also say they have fixed that gate atleast 8 times since I moved in. I watched it get broke then fixed then broke again.. in a days time! The people on this property guests usually break the damn thing! Someone ran into once it was fixed this last time totalling destroying it. I seen them send someone and eventually they at least made the apperence better and it looks like it works until this cold leave I guess. To me that is much better than pulling up to my expensive apartment and the gate looks raggedy.
The pepole who live here irrate me when they comment negative things. They think they are living in condos and think they own their space. Any apartment you live in will have noise and issues no matter where you go... but I can say my neighbors are not bad!... but I also asked for the upstairs apartment! If you are realistic, your looking to live here. The amenities are very much worth it! The staff in the office had been doing a great job keeping the community together and I love showing off where I live. Especially since the new property manger Andrea has come they keep the flowers potted, water sparkling blue, and grass edged and never miss a beat. The property has never looked so groomed. The pool area is like a picture. Clean water... It's always looked nice but I can see the detail in care. It seriously looks magazine ready. This is a honest review and I don't have any reasons to lead you astray... my rent is not cheap... and I definately don't mind paying it staying here. If you look anywhere else it will be the same for a less comfortable living space. I can honestly say since Village green has become Village club it has went over my expectations...I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have a unit with new appliances, overall the place is not bad but there are some glaring issues. My biggest complaint is that there is TERRIBLE communication between the website used to pay rent and the actual leasing office, communication in general has been horrible since I moved in. I have lived here for 4 months and gotten 2 late payment reminders, one of which was during my first month here when I had already paid for that month before moving in. The rent payment is done through a third party website, but I got both my false late payment reminders by finding a piece of paper in front of my door. It makes zero sense that they would not communicate that via email, call, or the payment website itself and instead leave a piece of paper at my door that you may not see if you don't leave my unit. It is very passive aggressive and antiquated. I had to reach out myself to prove that both the late payments were false and provide proof from the website they use, this is simply unacceptable and the uncertainly it brings makes payment rent a stressful and horrible experience.
When I first moved in, it was very apparent that the cleaning done in my unit was very surface level. The blinds, cabinets, etc were dusty and gross, I was very disappointed to have to do so much deep cleaning upon moving in. Speaking of cleaning, I can say that they were slow to do it but did perform outside maintenance for leaves for the fall and it looked good when they finally did do it.
The hallways are dirty, and the carpets are stained so bad its disgusting to look at. They claim to be working on exterior projects but maybe should focus on interior. They only clean and fix the area that they regularly have to tour for, if your unit is not in that route the carpet is gross. Maintenance has been fairly quick in my experience but it is only one man who is hard to understand at times. He does a good job overall. The front doors all rattle when someone else on your floor open or close their front doors which is very nerve racking.
The Village Club on Franklin needs to work on its communication, timely work when comes to outside maintenance during fall/winter, and its inaccurate payment system.
The positives are the unit itself is spacious, decent area to live around, and the residents are kind and pretty quiet for the most part. I can't say if I would recommend living here, I would say weight the pros and cons and make that decision carefully based on the information I...
