I’m not one to typically write reviews (especially bad ones) but I would hate for anyone to go through my recent experience at Pergjoni Family Jewelers. I took my brand new engagement ring and wedding band to Pergjoni Family Jewelers to get them resized and soldered together. When the owner was finished he handed it to me for review and I pointed out that the rings were not soldered together symmetrically so he took them back to redo his work. When I picked them up later that day I did a quick inspection of the rings and left. I could tell the work that was done to the rings was not what I was hoping for but it was clear to me that the owner either did not have a clear understanding of what I was asking for or did not have the time to do the work properly.
I brought the rings home and after further examination I noticed numerous issues with them. They were soldered together on the front and back so I could see the soldering behind the diamond of my engagement ring which was a huge distraction and looked horrible. I also noticed the rings were still not soldered together symmetrically, one side of the wedding band stuck out further from the other side and the spacing between the rings was uneven. The biggest issue I noticed was that I could see a clear cut mark on my engagement ring from where it was resized and the engagement ring band no longer had a straight edge, instead it looked wavy along the edges.
I called the owner to discuss my concerns and he said that given the types of rings I had that was the best work he could do and it would be hard for me to find any jeweler who could do a better job. I took my rings to two additional jewelers to get a second and third opinion and both told me that this was the first time they saw work like this and it would be very difficult to fix my wedding band and that the only way to fix my engagement ring was to get a completely new setting. This was/is heartbreaking for me since my engagement ring (like most people) is a very sentimental possession. I called the owner of Pergjoni’s to re-explain the situation and ask for a refund in hopes that it would help cover a small fraction of the new setting that I had to purchase and he essentially laughed in my face. He took no ownership over his low quality work which destroyed my engagement ring and damaged my wedding band.
I feel horrible posting a review like this, especially for a small business like Pergjoni Family Jeweler but I would hate for someone else to go through this experience. I went to Pergjoni’s because of all of the great reviews on Google but I was clearly mislead. I hope this review will prevent future issues like this from happening...

Read moreOne of the best jewelers I’ve been to, let me tell you why. A family member decided to pay for the repair of some old watches as a Christmas gift including some damaged bands that had to be replaced entirely. Well, the new replacement bands they chose were not my style but I had lost the receipt and was worried I couldn’t exchanging them.
The team at Pergjoni’s took back the original band with no hesitation, and let me pick out a new band. The new band was more expensive but I was offered an “even” exchange basically giving me money. On top of that, they even helped resize some watches for free. They also let me use their phone charger.
I have no past relationship nor was I demanding free stuff. I was shocked by how much the team really cared about a stranger’s experience. I would give 10 stars if possible. Please...
