Greensburg Agway — Local services in Southwest Greensburg

Always enjoyed the experience shopping here until today. I saw the sign, masks optional, which is in violation of Gov’s orders . In 2020 I mentioned that customers must wear masks in public places.. I directed my comment to 3 staff and assume the owner. The worker, 30’s, said this is a private business and we don’t follow that. He didn’t seem to get that masks in public places isn’t an option. He said this is America and here we don’t agree, and the law is out of control. The owner stood there laughing out loud at the discussion. I shopped there many times and always saw him as a serious helpful person. But today he appeared to be giddy and silly, almost child like, toward the seriousness of mask wearing.. Those without masks are infecting those with pre existing conditions and contributing to the increase of COVID numbers and deaths. No believers in this Agway. Theses folks only obey the laws or mandates they like. Due to their violation of the mandate and disrespect to me and others I will...

I used to go to Agway with my Grand Dad...that's HOW LONG they have been around! They have good service...good products...they still make their own blend of BirdSeed (Flyers Feast) and the women there are knowledgeable and and so nice to everyone that comes in! They have a "Get a Bag of Birdseed Discount Program" and thoroughly keep tabs on it and are happy when you attain your discounted bag! I can spend way more time than 10 minutes there! It is definitely one of the only "back in the day" stores left where you can buy feed and farm goods and hardy plants and flowers(my pansies from there bloomed thru the winter) and smell all of the good old smells! They welcome my little Pomeranian and btw...she loves to smell and eat the flavor dipped doggie biscuits!...

When I came here the few times that I have, there was not much plant selection available. It does have a lot of little helpful things here and there for gardening and the gardening seed selection is decent, I got a lot of really cheap pots and iron rods, it has a good selection of dirt considering how small the building. It's a pretty good place to stop for here and there things! The staff isnt exactly friendly, but they are by no means unfriendly either. Overall, it's worth stopping in to see if it has what you need...
