Grocery Outlet — Local services in Sparks

I have never been so embarrassed in my life! I was checking out with my children all 5. My youngest was not listening (he’s 4) and we were using the police car cart. He kept climbing on it n I kept telling him to get down the whole time we were shopping. So as we were checking out, I’m putting items on the belt and I didn’t notice my son climbing on the police car. This older gal not our cashier, idk who she was but she worked there I can assume from the grocery outlet collars shirt she was wearing. Told my son to get down. I had no problem with that as I have been telling him, then she proceeded to tell me to help her out and tell him. I told her the whole shopping trip he hasn’t been listening. She told me “ I’ll just leave it alone” and walked off. Ppl started looking at me n my kids were still not listening so I grabbed the two that weren’t listening at all and walked out. We paid our $115 worth of groceries and left. The cashier was giving us dirty looks after that gal came n talked to us. The only person who was being kind was the bagger she tried to tell the kids she fell off a cart n had to go to the hospital when she was a young girl. At first I thought that was one of the nicest grocery outlets I’ve been in. I am very disappointed in the customer service and how were we treated. I loved grocery outlet up till this last year... employees are at times rude and tell managers that ,"THEY ARE UNCOMFORTABLE SERVING CERTAIN CUSTOMERS!" This makes another cashier do their work for them during very busy times! Very unprofessional! I really feel Grocery Outlet needs to pay more attention to their older Veteran workers and stop catering to this young generation that do not want to put effort into the customer service that we have been used to from the GROCERY OUTLET FRANCHISES' over the years! OH WELL, this is the world we live in now, (sounds harsh but it is OUR NEW REALITY!) Every business and every employee now and again, will have a good day and a bad day but, I feel, they should be Putting these feelings aside and not project it to the public!!! I used to strongly recommend making Grocery outlet your first stop for great deals because It is was worth going and getting the best deals on so many new items every few days... Unfortunately with a negative and rude environment, and sometimes unfriendly or uncomfortable silence from a checker, we would rather take our business elsewhere to avoid...

The store is clean. I was surprised to see the large and varied selection of items. From produce to outdoor chairs (folding ones that you often take camping) and coolers. If you haven't been you need to check out this store.

I was really impressed by their seasoning selection. As they have a large variety of seasonings and some bulk ones too. The prices are reasonable if not cheap. A regular bottle of Lemon pepper was $.99. Spices and herbs are often expensive at other stores.

I was hoping that they had my brand of coconut milk that I purchase. But they did not. They did have Albanese gummy bears. They are my families favorite gummy bears. And it was a large bag for under $7.00 2.25 lbs.

While there we were asked several times if we needed help. I was surprised by how much they had. They also have a variety of organic and fresh produce, and stock a variety of goods as well as gluten free items.
