long story short.. I had ordered a ring from Kay Jewelers for my proposal. I wanted to give the ring to my girl on the 19th of December because I had planned (4 months in advance) to go on a trip with my Ashley.Needless to say after months of planning and shopping Kay lost my ring the day I was going to pick it up (ordered it 2 months in advance).Not being a drama kinda person but this really devastated me.. Everything I planned went south and I was about to wreck the most important day for her. I didn't want to let her down.I had a friend that went to J Thomas@ the Sparta store and gave me nothing but great feedback. So I didn't want to do a last min and just get a ring to get a ring. I went to the store and was greeted like I was family. I spent so much time being a pain in the A** and they were rock stars. They not only found a ring that I loved more than the ring I was going to get. They also resized the ring the same night so I didn't lose my plans (even know they were closing) . I have no words on how happy they made us.I am forever a fan! Trust me they are amazing and won't...

I'm very disappointed in the owner of J.T. Thomas purchased a diamond ring setting for 9,700 in 12/14 in Flanders store which closed a year later. now needing to travel to Sparta. I feel I have incurred a lot of maintenance and charges to this ring in the last 4 years. I felt he did not listen to my complaints and was told he could not make me happy and not to come back! With that kind of customer service & treatment I don't & will not recommend to any one. Since I have been to other Jewelry stores where they stand behind their settings if stones go missing in them they replace for free, and rhodium plating the ring the 1st time would have been free. I feel if he tried to understand my complaint on cost & maintance of a 18K setting he may have been able to sell me another setting. Nice store. Nice jewelry. Staff was courteous. I didn’t give them five stars because at that time I was simply looking and actually would have probably come back to buy because I am into supporting local business. But after giving the price and then giving another price...saying it’s good right now or we wouldn’t give you that price again made me go to their competition.

Maybe their sales staff was told to sell but when someone’s looking at something what they feel is expensive sometimes we need time to decide.

Give us your best price to start and if we are interested we will buy.
